1 Og det skjedde på den åttende dagen at Moses kalte på Aron og hans sønner, og Israels eldste;

And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

2 og han sa til Aron: Ta deg en kalv fra buskapen til syndoffer, og en vær til brennoffer, uten lyte, og ofre dem for Herren.

and he said unto Aaron, Take thee a calf of the herd for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and offer them before Jehovah.

3 Og til Israels barn skal du si: Ta en geitebukk til syndoffer; og en kalv og et lam, begge ett år gamle, uten lyte, til brennoffer;

And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a he-goat for a sin-offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;

4 og en okse og en vær til fredsoffer, for å ofre for Herren, og et grødeoffer blandet med olje. For i dag vil Herren vise seg for dere.

and an ox and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before Jehovah; and a meal-offering mingled with oil: for to-day Jehovah appeareth unto you.

5 Og de brakte det som Moses hadde befalt foran møteteltet, og hele menigheten nærmet seg og sto foran Herren.

And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tent of meeting: and all the congregation drew near and stood before Jehovah.

6 Og Moses sa: Dette er det som Herren har befalt dere å gjøre, så skal Herrens herlighet åpenbare seg for dere.

And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah commanded that ye should do: and the glory of Jehovah shall appear unto you.

7 Og Moses sa til Aron: Gå fram til alteret og ofre ditt syndoffer og ditt brennoffer, og gjør soning for deg selv og for folket; og bær fram folkets offergave, og gjør soning for dem, slik Herren har befalt.

And Moses said unto Aaron, Draw near unto the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people; and offer the oblation of the people, and make atonement for them; as Jehovah commanded.

8 Så gikk Aron fram til alteret, og slaktet kalven for syndofferet, som var for ham selv.

So Aaron drew near unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself.

9 Og Arons sønner rakte blodet til ham; han dyppet fingeren i blodet og strøk det på alterets horn, og helte ut blodet ved foten av alteret.

And the sons of Aaron presented the blood unto him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar:

10 Men fettet, nyrene og leverens hinne fra syndofferet brente han på alteret, som Herren hadde befalt Moses.

but the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul from the liver of the sin-offering, he burnt upon the altar; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

11 Og kjøttet og huden brente han utenfor leiren.

And the flesh and the skin he burnt with fire without the camp.

12 Han slaktet også brennofferet, og Arons sønner rakte blodet til ham, og han stenket det rundt om på alteret.

And he slew the burnt-offering; and Aaron's sons delivered unto him the blood, and he sprinkled it upon the altar round about.

13 De rakte ham brennofferet stykke for stykke, med hodet, og han brente dem på alteret.

And they delivered the burnt-offering unto him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

14 Og han vasket innvollene og føttene, og brente dem på brennofferet på alteret.

And he washed the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

15 Så brakte han fram folkets offergave, tok bukken til syndofferet som var for folket, slaktet den og ofret den for synd, som den første.

And he presented the people's oblation, and took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

16 Han brakte fram brennofferet, og ofret det etter foreskriftene.

And he presented the burnt-offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.

17 Og han brakte fram grødeofferet, og fylte sin hånd av det, og brente det på alteret, ved siden av morgenens brennoffer.

And he presented the meal-offering, and filled his hand therefrom, and burnt it upon the altar, besides the burnt-offering of the morning.

18 Han slaktet også oksen og væren som fredsoffer for folket, og Arons sønner rakte ham blodet, og han stenket det rundt om på alteret,

He slew also the ox and the ram, the sacrifice of peace-offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons delivered unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,

19 og fettet av oksen og væren, fetthalen, det som dekker innvollene, nyrene og leverens hinne.

and the fat of the ox and of the ram, the fat tail, and that which covereth `the inwards', and the kidneys, and the caul of the liver:

20 De la fettet på brystene, og han brente fettet på alteret.

and they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

21 Og brystene og det høyre lår vinket Aron som et vinkoffer for Herren, slik Moses hadde befalt.

and the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave-offering before Jehovah; as Moses commanded.

22 Og Aron løftet sine hender over folket og velsignet dem, og steg ned etter å ha båret fram syndofferet, brennofferet og fredsofferet.

And Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessed them; and he came down from offering the sin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and the peace-offerings.

23 Og Moses og Aron gikk inn i møteteltet, og da de kom ut igjen, velsignet de folket, og Herrens herlighet åpenbarte seg for hele folket.

And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of Jehovah appeared unto all the people.

24 Og det kom ild fra Herren og fortærte brennofferet og fettet på alteret, og da hele folket så det, ropte de høyt og kastet seg ned på ansiktene sine.

And there came forth fire from before Jehovah, and consumed upon the altar the burnt-offering and the fat: and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
