1 Og Herren talte til Moses og til Aron, og sa:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

2 Tell mennene blant Kehats etterkommere blant Levis sønner etter deres familier og fedrehus,

Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers' houses,

3 fra tretti år og opp til femti år, alle som kan gjøre tjeneste, for å utføre arbeidet i møteteltet.

from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter upon the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.

4 Dette er tjenesten til Kehats sønner i møteteltet, de mest hellige tingene.

This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting, `about' the most holy things:

5 Når leiren bryter opp, skal Aron og hans sønner gå inn og ta ned forhenget og dekke vitnesbyrdets ark med det.

when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall go in, and his sons, and they shall take down the veil of the screen, and cover the ark of the testimony with it,

6 Og de skal legge et dekke av selhud over den, og bre en blå duk over igjen, og sette inn stengene.

and shall put thereon a covering of sealskin, and shall spread over it a cloth all of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.

7 Og over skuebrødsbordet skal de bre en blå duk og sette på den fatene, skålene, bollene og begerne til utgytelse; og det kontinuerlige brødet skal være derpå.

And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls and the cups wherewith to pour out; and the continual bread shall be thereon:

8 Og de skal bre en karmoisinrød duk over det, og dekke den med et dekke av selhud, og sette inn stengene.

and they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in the staves thereof.

9 Og de skal ta en blå duk og dekke lysestaken for lyset, med lampene, lyseslukkene, karene til røkelsen og alle oljeholderne de bruker til den.

And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:

10 Og de skal legge den og alle dens kar inni et dekke av selhud og sette den på en bæreanordning.

and they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it upon the frame.

11 Og over det gullforgylte alteret skal de bre en blå duk, og dekke det med et dekke av selhud, og sette inn stengene.

And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in the staves thereof:

12 Og de skal ta alle karene som brukes i helligdommen, og legge dem i en blå duk, dekke dem med et dekke av selhud, og sette dem på en bæreanordning.

and they shall take all the vessels of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame.

13 Og de skal fjerne asken fra alteret og bre en purpurfarget duk over det.

And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:

14 Og de skal legge over det alle karene som de bruker der, ildbeger, kroker, skuffer og fatene, alle alterets kar; og de skal bre et dekke av selhud over det og sette inn stengene.

and they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, the firepans, the flesh-hooks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of sealskin, and put in the staves thereof.

15 Og når Aron og hans sønner er ferdig med å dekke helligdommen og alt inventaret i helligdommen, når leiren bryter opp, skal Kehats sønner komme for å bære det; men de må ikke røre ved helligdommen, for at de ikke skal dø. Dette er Kehats sønners byrde i møteteltet.

And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp is set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting.

16 Og Eleazar, Arons prests sønn, skal ha ansvar for oljen til lyset, det søte røkelsen, det kontinuerlige matofferet og salvingsoljen, ansvaret for hele tabernaklet og alt som er i det, helligdommen og dens inventar.

And the charge of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the continual meal-offering, and the anointing oil, the charge of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, the sanctuary, and the furniture thereof.

17 Og Herren talte til Moses og til Aron, og sa:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

18 Skal ikke utrydde slekten av Kohatittenes familier fra blant levittene.

Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;

19 Men slik skal dere gjøre med dem for at de skal leve og ikke dø når de nærmer seg de aller helligste tingene: Aron og hans sønner skal gå inn og sette hver av dem til sin tjeneste og til sin byrde.

but thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden;

20 Men de skal ikke gå inn for å se helligdommen, ikke et øyeblikk, for at de ikke skal dø.

but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.

21 Og Herren talte til Moses, og sa:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

22 Tell også Gersjons sønner etter deres fedrehus og familier.

Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers' houses, by their families;

23 Fra tretti år og opp til femti år skal du telle dem; alle som går inn for å tjene i arbeidet i møteteltet.

from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to wait upon the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.

24 Dette er tjenesten til Gersjonittenes familier, i å tjene og å bære byrder:

This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:

25 De skal bære teltets gardiner, og møteteltet, dets dektak, og dekningen av selhud som er over det, og forhenget ved inngangen til møteteltet,

they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tent of meeting, its covering, and the covering of sealskin that is above upon it, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,

26 og gårdens hengende, og forhenget ved porten til gården som er rundt tabernaklet og alteret, og deres tau, og alle deres redskaper for tjenesten, og alt som skal gjøres med dem: Dermed skal de tjene.

and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatsoever shall be done with them: therein shall they serve.

27 Ved Arons og hans sønners befaling skal Gersjonittenes sønner tjene i alle sine oppgaver, alle sine byrder; og dere skal gi dem ansvar for alt deres arbeid.

At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden, and in all their service; and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burden.

28 Dette er tjenesten til Gersjonittenes familier i møteteltet; og deres ansvar skal være under Ithamar, sønn av Aron, presten.

This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the tent of meeting: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

29 Angående Meraris sønner, skal du telle dem etter deres familier, etter deres fedrehus.

As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them by their families, by their fathers' houses;

30 Fra tretti år og opp til femti år skal du telle dem, hver som kommer til tjeneste for å gjøre arbeidet i møteteltet.

from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth upon the service, to do the work of the tent of meeting.

31 Og dette er ansvaret for deres byrder, i alle deres tjeneste i møteteltet: tabernaklets planker, dets bjelker, stolper og sokler,

And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tent of meeting: the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof,

32 og stolpene i gården rundt, deres sokler, teltplugger og tau, med alle deres redskaper og i all deres tjeneste; og ved navn skal dere overgi redskapene til deres byrder.

and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall appoint the instruments of the charge of their burden.

33 Dette er tjenesten til Meraris sønners familier, etter all deres tjeneste i møteteltet, under ledelse av Ithamar, sønn av Aron, presten.

This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tent of meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

34 Og Moses og Aron og høvdingene i menigheten telte Kehatittenes sønner etter deres familier og fedrehus,

And Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers' houses,

35 fra tretti år og opp til femti år, alle som gikk inn for å tjene og gjøre arbeidet i møteteltet.

from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting:

36 Og de som ble telt etter deres familier, var to tusen sju hundre og femti.

and those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.

37 Disse er de som ble telt blant Kehatittenes familier, alle som tjente i møteteltet, som Moses og Aron telte i henhold til Herrens befaling ved Moses.

These are they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that did serve in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.

38 Og de som ble telt av Gersjons sønner, deres familier og fedrehus,

And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, their families, and by their fathers' houses,

39 fra tretti år og opp til femti år, alle som gikk inn for å tjene og gjøre arbeidet i møteteltet,

from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting,

40 disse som ble telt etter deres familier og fedrehus, var to tusen seks hundre og tretti.

even those that were numbered of them, by their families, by their fathers' houses, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.

41 Disse er de som ble telt blant Gersjonittenes familier, alle som tjente i møteteltet, som Moses og Aron telte i henhold til Herrens befaling.

These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all that did serve in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah.

42 Og de som ble telt blant Merarittenes familier, etter deres familier og fedrehus,

And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers' houses,

43 fra tretti år og opp til femti år, alle som gikk inn for å tjene og gjøre arbeidet i møteteltet,

from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting,

44 disse som ble telt etter deres familier, var tre tusen og to hundre.

even those that were numbered of them by their families, were three thousand and two hundred.

45 Disse er de som ble telt blant Merarittenes familier, som Moses og Aron telte i henhold til Herrens befaling ved Moses.

These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.

46 Alle de som ble telt av levittene, som Moses og Aron og høvdingene i Israel telte, etter deres familier og fedrehus,

All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel numbered, by their families, and by their fathers' houses,

47 fra tretti år og opp til femti år, alle som gikk inn for å tjene i arbeidet og bære byrdene i møteteltet,

from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered in to do the work of service, and the work of bearing burdens in the tent of meeting,

48 disse som ble telt, var åtte tusen fem hundre og åtti.

even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.

49 I henhold til Herrens befaling ble de telt av Moses, hver for sin tjeneste og hver for sin byrde: Slik ble de telt av ham, som Herren hadde befalt Moses.

According to the commandment of Jehovah they were numbered by Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as Jehovah commanded Moses.
