1 Lov Herren! Lov Gud i hans helligdom, lov ham i hans mektige hvelving.

Praise ye Jehovah. Praise God in his sanctuary: Praise him in the firmament of his power.

2 Lov ham for hans veldige gjerninger, lov ham etter hans overveldende storhet.

Praise him for his mighty acts: Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3 Lov ham med trompetlyd, lov ham med psalter og harpe.

Praise him with trumpet sound: Praise him with psaltery and harp.

4 Lov ham med tamburin og dans, lov ham med strengeinstrumenter og fløyte.

Praise him with timbrel and dance: Praise him with stringed instruments and pipe.

5 Lov ham med høye cymbaler, lov ham med klingende cymbaler.

Praise him with loud cymbals: Praise him with high sounding cymbals.

6 Alt som har ånde, skal love Herren. Lov Herren!

Let everything that hath breath praise Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah.
