2 Syng for Herren, pris hans navn! Forkynn hans frelse fra dag til dag!

Sing to Yahweh! Bless his name! Proclaim his salvation from day to day!

3 Fortell om hans herlighet blant nasjonene, hans underfulle gjerninger blant alle folk.

Declare his glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples.

4 For stor er Herren, og høylovet! Han bør fryktes over alle guder.

For great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised! He is to be feared above all gods.

5 For alle folkenes guder er avguder, men Herren har skapt himlene.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But Yahweh made the heavens.

6 Ære og majestet er foran ham, styrke og skjønnhet er i hans helligdom.

Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 Gi Herren ære, dere folkefamiler, gi Herren ære og styrke.

Ascribe to Yahweh, you families of nations, Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.

8 Gi Herren den ære som hans navn fortjener. Kom med offergaver og trå inn i hans forgårder.

Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come into his courts.

9 Tilbe Herren i hellig prakt. Skjelv for ham, hele jorden.

Worship Yahweh in holy array. Tremble before him, all the earth.

10 Si blant nasjonene: "Herren regjerer." Verden er grunnfestet, den kan ikke rokkes. Han dømmer folkene rettferdig.

Say among the nations, "Yahweh reigns." The world is also established. It can't be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity.

11 La himmelen glede seg, og jorden fryde seg. La havet bruse, og alt som fyller det!
