1 Og Herren talte til Moses og sa:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2 «Tal til Israels barn og si til dem: Når en mann eller kvinne gjør et særlig løfte, ved å avgi et nazireerløfte, for å være avskilt for Herren,

`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When a man or woman doeth singularly, by vowing a vow of a Nazarite, to be separate to Jehovah;

3 så skal han holde seg borte fra vin og sterk drikk. Han skal ikke drikke eddik av vin eller sterk drikk, og han skal ikke drikke noen druejuice, og han skal ikke spise druer, enten friske eller tørkede.

from wine and strong drink he doth keep separate; vinegar of wine, and vinegar of strong drink he doth not drink, and any juice of grapes he doth not drink, and grapes moist or dry he doth not eat;

4 I hele den tid han er avskilt, skal han ikke spise noe som er laget av vinrankene, fra kjerner til skallet.

all days of his separation, of anything which is made of the wine-vine, from kernels even unto husk, he doth not eat.

5 I hele den tid hans løfte om avskilting varer, skal det ikke komme noe barberblad over hodet hans; han skal være hellig inntil de dager er fulle som han har avskilt for Herren; håret på hodet hans skal vokse.

`All days of the vow of his separation a razor doth not pass over his head; till the fulness of the days which he doth separate to Jehovah he is holy; grown up hath the upper part of the hair of his head.

6 I hele den tid han er avskilt for Herren, skal han ikke nærme seg en død person.

`All days of his keeping separate to Jehovah, near a dead person he doth not go;

7 Verken for sin far, sin mor, sin bror eller sin søster skal han gjøre seg uren ved deres død, for hans avskillelse til Gud er over hodet.

for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister -- he is not unclean for them at their death, for the separation of his God `is' on his head;

8 Alle dager han er avskilt er han hellig for Herren.

all days of his separation he `is' holy to Jehovah.

9 Men hvis noen dør plutselig ved siden av ham, slik at hodet hans blir vanhelliget, skal han barbere hodet den dagen han blir renset, den syvende dagen skal han barbere det,

`And when the dead dieth beside him in an instant, suddenly, and he hath defiled the head of his separation, then he hath shaved his head in the day of his cleansing; on the seventh day he doth shave it,

10 og den åttende dagen skal han bringe to turtelduer eller to unge duer til presten, ved inngangen til møteteltet.

and on the eighth day he bringeth in two turtle-doves or two young pigeons unto the priest, unto the opening of the tent of meeting,

11 Og presten skal ofre den ene som syndoffer og den andre som brennoffer og sone for ham, fordi han har syndet ved å bli uren, og den dagen skal han hellige hodet sitt.

and the priest hath prepared one for a sin-offering, and one for a burnt-offering, and hath made atonement for him, because of that which he hath sinned by the body, and he hath hallowed his head on that day;

12 Han skal avskille dagene til Herren og bringe et årsgammelt lam som skyldoffer, og de tidligere dagene skal bortfalle fordi hans avskillelse har blitt vanhelliget.

and he hath separated to Jehovah the days of his separation, and he hath brought in a lamb, a son of a year, for a guilt-offering, and the former days are fallen, for his separation hath been defiled.

13 Dette er loven om nazireeren: På den dagen da tiden for hans avskillelse er fullført, skal han føres til inngangen til møteteltet,

`And this `is' the law of the Nazarite; in the day of the fulness of the days of his separation doth `one' bring him in unto the opening of the tent of meeting,

14 og han skal ofre til Herren, et årsgammelt værs lam som brennoffer, en årsgammel hunndyr som syndoffer, og en vær som fredsoffer, alle uten feil,

and he hath brought near his offering to Jehovah, one he-lamb, a son of a year, a perfect one, for a burnt-offering, and one she-lamb, a daughter of a year, a perfect one, for a sin-offering, and one ram, a perfect one, for peace-offerings,

15 og en kurv med usyret brød, kaker blandet med olje, og usyrede tynne kaker smurt med olje, sammen med matofferene og drikkeofferene.

and a basket of unleavened things of flour, cakes mixed with oil, and thin cakes of unleavened things anointed with oil, and their present, and their libations.

16 Presten skal presentere dem for Herren og ofre syndofferet og brennofferet;

`And the priest hath brought `them' near before Jehovah, and hath made his sin-offering and his burnt-offering;

17 og væren skal han ofre som et fredsoffer til Herren, sammen med kurven med usyrede kaker; presten skal også ofre matofferet og drikkeofferet.

and the ram he maketh a sacrifice of peace-offerings to Jehovah, besides the basket of unleavened things; and the priest hath made its present and its libation.

18 Nazireeren skal barbere sitt avskilte hode ved inngangen til møteteltet, og ta håret fra sitt avskilte hode og legge det på brannen under fredsofferet.

`And the Nazarite hath shaved (at the opening of the tent of meeting) the head of his separation, and hath taken the hair of the head of his separation, and hath put `it' on the fire which `is' under the sacrifice of the peace-offerings.

19 Presten skal ta den kokte skulderen fra væren, en usyret kake fra kurven, og en usyret tynn kake, og legge dem i nazireerens hånd etter at han har barbert sitt avskilte hode;

`And the priest hath taken the boiled shoulder from the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one thin unleavened cake, and hath put on the palms of the Nazarite after his shaving his separation;

20 og presten skal gjøre dem til en svingoffer for Herren; det er hellig for presten, sammen med det bølgede brystet og det hevede låret. Deretter kan nazireeren drikke vin.

and the priest hath waved them, a wave-offering before Jehovah; it `is' holy to the priest, besides the breast of the wave-offering, and besides the leg of the heave-offering; and afterwards doth the Nazarite drink wine.

21 Dette er loven om nazireeren som avgir sitt løfte og ofrer til Herren for sin avskillelse, i tillegg til det han kan klare, i henhold til løftet han har avgitt, slik skal han gjøre etter loven om sin avskillelse.»

`This `is' the law of the Nazarite, who voweth his offering to Jehovah for his separation, apart from that which his hand attaineth; according to his vow which he voweth so he doth by the law of his separation.'

22 Og Herren talte til Moses og sa:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

23 «Tal til Aron og hans sønner og si: Slik skal dere velsigne Israels barn og si til dem:

`Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, saying, Thus ye do bless the sons of Israel, saying to them,

24 Herren velsigne deg og bevare deg;

`Jehovah bless thee and keep thee;

25 Herren la sitt ansikt lyse over deg og være deg nådig;

`Jehovah cause His face to shine upon thee, and favour thee;

26 Herren løfte sitt åsyn på deg og gi deg fred.

`Jehovah lift up His countenance upon thee, and appoint for thee -- peace.

27 Og de skal sette mitt navn på Israels barn, og jeg skal velsigne dem.»

`And they have put My name upon the sons of Israel, and I -- I do bless them.'
