12And from thencefoorth sought Pilate meanes to loose hym. But the Iewes cryed, saying: Yf thou let hym go, thou art not Caesers friend. For whosoeuer maketh hym selfe a kyng, speaketh agaynst Caesar.
37And sayd: If thou be the kyng of the Iewes, saue thy selfe.
38And a superscription was written ouer him, with letters of greke, and latin, and hebrue, This is the king of the Iewes.

1And anone in the dawnyng, the hye priestes held a councel, with the elders, and the scribes, and the whole congregation, and bound Iesus, and ledde hym away, and deliuered hym to Pilate.
17Therfore, when they were gathered together, Pilate saide vnto them: whether wyll ye that I geue loose vnto you Barabbas, or Iesus, whiche is called Christe?
