13But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty ys: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter ys: for yet the vision is for many ys.
15And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
16And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
14And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred ys; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
15And it came to pass, when I, even I niel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

12Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten ys; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

8Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
11And from the time that the ily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety ys.
12Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty ys.
16Then niel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.
17Then niel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:
18That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that niel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19Then was the secret revealed unto niel in a night vision. Then niel blessed the God of heaven.
21And niel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
11So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.
10And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
14So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten ys.

21Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
6Then a rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.
10And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
7And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto emiah.
13So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
8And that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.
