17Pharaoh said to Joseph,“Say to your brothers,‘Do this: Load your animals and go to the land of Canaan!

5Pharaoh said to Joseph,“Your father and your brothers have come to you.
6The land of Egypt is before you; settle your father and your brothers in the best region of the land. They may live in the land of Goshen. If you know of any highly capable men among them, put them in charge of my livestock.”
19Why should we die before your very eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land in exchange for food, and we, with our land, will become Pharaoh’s slaves. Give us seed that we may live and not die. Then the land will not become desolate.”
20So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh. Each of the Egyptians sold his field, for the famine was severe. So the land became Pharaoh’s.
21Joseph made all the people slaves from one end of Egypt’s border to the other end of it.
40You will oversee my household, and all my people will submit to your commands. Only I, the king, will be greater than you.
41“See here,” Pharaoh said to Joseph,“I place you in authority over all the land of Egypt.”
11So Joseph settled his father and his brothers. He gave them territory in the land of Egypt, in the best region of the land, the land of Rameses, just as Pharaoh had commanded.
5From the time Potiphar appointed him over his household and over all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s household for Joseph’s sake. The blessing of the LORD was on everything that he had, both in his house and in his fields.
6So Potiphar left everything he had in Joseph’s care; he gave no thought to anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well built and good-looking.
21“I will grant this people favor with the Egyptians, so that when you depart you will not leave empty-handed.
22Every woman will ask her neighbor and the one who happens to be staying in her house for items of silver and gold and for clothing. You will put these articles on your sons and daughters– thus you will plunder Egypt!”
55When all the land of Egypt experienced the famine, the people cried out to Pharaoh for food. Pharaoh said to all the people of Egypt,“Go to Joseph and do whatever he tells you.”

43Pharaoh had him ride in the chariot used by his second-in-command, and they cried out before him,“Kneel down!” So he placed him over all the land of Egypt.
44Pharaoh also said to Joseph,“I am Pharaoh, but without your permission no one will move his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”
23Joseph said to the people,“Since I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you. Cultivate the land.
24When the crop comes in, give one-fifth of it to Pharaoh. The remaining four-fifths will be yours for seed for the fields and for you to eat, including those in your households and your little children.”
21So now, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your little children.” Then he consoled them and spoke kindly to them.
16Surely all the wealth that God snatched away from our father belongs to us and to our children. So now do everything God has told you.”
5Now, do not be upset and do not be angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me ahead of you to preserve life!
6They will fill your houses, the houses of your servants, and all the houses of Egypt, such as neither your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen since they have been in the land until this day!’” Then Moses turned and went out from Pharaoh.
34Pharaoh should do this– he should appoint officials throughout the land to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt during the seven years of abundance.
26So Joseph made it a statute, which is in effect to this day throughout the land of Egypt: One-fifth belongs to Pharaoh. Only the land of the priests did not become Pharaoh’s.
36This food should be held in storage for the land in preparation for the seven years of famine that will occur throughout the land of Egypt. In this way the land will survive the famine.”
37This advice made sense to Pharaoh and all his officials.
1Joseph’s Wise Administration Joseph went and told Pharaoh,“My father, my brothers, their flocks and herds, and all that they own have arrived from the land of Canaan. They are now in the land of Goshen.”
14Joseph collected all the money that could be found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan as payment for the grain they were buying. Then Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s palace.
