7 Other seed fell among the thorns, and they grew up with it and choked it.
8 But other seed fell on good soil and grew, and it produced a hundred times as much grain.” As he said this, he called out,“The one who has ears to hear had better listen!”
9 Then his disciples asked him what this parable meant.
18 “So listen to the parable of the sower:
19 When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches what was sown in his heart; this is the seed sown along the path.
26 The Parable of the Growing Seed He also said,“The kingdom of God is like someone who spreads seed on the ground.
27 He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.
28 By itself the soil produces a crop, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head.
29 And when the grain is ripe, he sends in the sickle because the harvest has come.”

32 when it is sown, it grows up, becomes the greatest of all garden plants, and grows large branches so that the wild birds can nest in its shade.”
33 The Use of Parables So with many parables like these, he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear.
23 But as for the seed sown on good soil, this is the person who hears the word and understands. He bears fruit, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.”
