18 Don't let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
5 It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay.
6 Don't allow your mouth to lead you into sin. Don't protest before the messenger that this was a mistake. Why should God be angry at your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?

6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
2 When a man vows a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

6 No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone to pledge; for he takes [a man's] life to pledge.
22 "If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house;
21 if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate,
5 that they may keep you from the strange woman, from the foreigner who flatters with her words.
