Verse 11

Searching when or what time the Spirite which testified before of Christ which was in them, shoulde declare the sufferings that should come vnto Christ, and the glorie that shoulde followe.

Isa 53:1-9 : 1 Who will beleeue our report? For he was cut out of the lande of the liuing: for the transgression of my people was he plagued. 9 And he made his graue with the wicked, and with the riche in his death, though hee had done no wickednesse, neither was any deceite in his mouth. 10 Yet the Lord would breake him, and make him subiect to infirmities: when hee shall make his soule an offring for sinne, he shall see his seede and shall prolong his dayes, and the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 11 Hee shall see of the trauaile of his soule, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous seruant iustifie many: for hee shall beare their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I giue him a portion with the great, and he shall deuide the spoyle with the strong, because hee hath powred out his soule vnto death: and he was counted with the transgressers, & he bare the sinne of many, and prayed for the trespassers.
Dan 9:24-26 : 24 Seuentie weekes are determined vpon thy people and vpon thine holy citie, to finish the wickednes, and to seale vp the sinnes, and to reconcile the inquitie, and to bring in euerlasting righteousnesse, and to seale vp the vision and prophecie, and to anoynt the most Holy. 25 Knowe therefore and vnderstande, that from the going foorth of the commaundement to bring againe the people, and to builde Ierusalem, vnto Messiah the prince, shall be seuen weekes and threescore and two weekes, and the streete shalbe built againe, and the wall euen in a troublous time. 26 And after threescore and two weekes, shal Messiah be slaine, and shal haue nothing,, and the people of the prince that shal come, shal destroy the citie and the Sanctuarie, and the end thereof shalbe with a flood: and vnto the end of the battell it shalbe destroyed by desolations.

Ps 69:1-9 : 1 To him that excelleth vpon Shoshannim. A Psalme of Dauid. Saue mee, O God: for the waters are entred euen to my soule. 2 I sticke fast in the deepe myre, where no staie is: I am come into deepe waters, and the streames runne ouer me. 3 I am wearie of crying: my throte is drie: mine eyes faile, whiles I waite for my God. 4 They that hate mee without a cause, are moe then the heares of mine heade: they that would destroy mee, and are mine enemies falsly, are mightie, so that I restored that which I tooke not. 5 O God, thou knowest my foolishnesse, and my fautes are not hid from thee. 6 Let not them that trust in thee, O Lorde God of hostes, be ashamed for me: let not those that seeke thee, be confounded through mee, O God of Israel. 7 For thy sake haue I suffred reproofe: shame hath couered my face. 8 I am become a stranger vnto my brethren, euen an aliant vnto my mothers sonnes. 9 For the zeale of thine house hath eaten mee, and the rebukes of them that rebuked thee, are fallen vpon me. 10 I wept and my soule fasted, but that was to my reproofe. 11 I put on a sacke also: and I became a prouerbe vnto them. 12 They that sate in the gate, spake of mee, and the drunkardes sang of me. 13 But Lorde, I make my praier vnto thee in an acceptable time, euen in the multitude of thy mercie: O God, heare me in the trueth of thy saluation. 14 Deliuer mee out of the myre, that I sinke not: let me be deliuered from them that hate me, and out of the deepe waters. 15 Let not the water flood drowne mee, neither let the deepe swallowe me vp: and let not the pit shut her mouth vpon me. 16 Heare me, O Lord, for thy louing kindnes is good: turne vnto me according to ye multitude of thy tender mercies. 17 And hide not thy face from thy seruant, for I am in trouble: make haste and heare me. 18 Draw neere vnto my soule and redeeme it: deliuer me because of mine enemies. 19 Thou hast knowen my reproofe and my shame, and my dishonour: all mine aduersaries are before thee. 20 Rebuke hath broken mine heart, and I am full of heauinesse, and I looked for some to haue pitie on me, but there was none: and for comforters, but I found none. 21 For they gaue me gall in my meate, and in my thirst they gaue me vineger to drinke.
Ps 69:30-36 : 30 I will praise the Name of God with a song, and magnifie him with thankesgiuing. 31 This also shall please the Lord better then a yong bullocke, that hath hornes and hoofes. 32 The humble shall see this, and they that seeke God, shalbe glad, and your heart shall liue. 33 For the Lord heareth the poore, and despiseth not his prisoners. 34 Let heauen and earth praise him: the seas and all that moueth in them. 35 For God will saue Zion, and builde the cities of Iudah, that men may dwell there and haue it in possession. 36 The seede also of his seruants shal inherit it: and they that loue his name, shall dwel therein.

Selah. 11 Shall thy louing kindenes be declared in the graue? or thy faithfulnes in destruction? 12 Shall thy wonderous workes be knowen in the darke? and thy righteousnes in the land of obliuion? 13 But vnto thee haue I cryed, O Lorde, and early shall my prayer come before thee. 14 Lorde, why doest thou reiect my soule, and hidest thy face from me? 15 I am afflicted and at the point of death: from my youth I suffer thy terrours, doubting of my life. 16 Thine indignations goe ouer me, and thy feare hath cut me off. 17 They came round about me dayly like water, and compassed me together. 18 My louers and friends hast thou put away from me, and mine acquaintance hid themselues.
Ps 110:1-6 : 1 A Psalme of Dauid. The Lord said vnto my Lorde, Sit thou at my right hand, vntill I make thine enemies thy footestoole. 2 The Lorde shall send the rod of thy power out of Zion: be thou ruler in the middes of thine enemies. 3 Thy people shall come willingly at the time of assembling thine armie in holy beautie: the youth of thy wombe shalbe as the morning dewe. 4 The Lord sware & wil not repent, Thou art a Priest for euer after ye order of Melchi-zedek. 5 The Lorde, that is at thy right hand, shall wound Kings in the day of his wrath. 6 He shalbe iudge among the heathen: he shall fill all with dead bodies, and smite the head ouer great countreis.
Isa 9:6-7 : 6 For vnto vs a childe is borne, and vnto vs a Sonne is giuen: and the gouernement is vpon his shoulder, and he shall call his name Wonderfull, Counseller, The mightie God, The euerlasting Father, The prince of peace, 7 The increase of his gouernement & peace shall haue none end: he shall sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and vpon his kingdome, to order it, and to stablish it with iudgement and with iustice, from hencefoorth, euen for euer: the zeale of the Lord of hostes will performe this.
Isa 49:6 : 6 And hee sayde, It is a small thing that thou shouldest be my seruaunt, to raise vp the tribes of Iaakob, and to restore the desolations of Israel: I will also giue thee for a light of the Gentiles, that thou maiest bee my saluation vnto the ende of the worlde.
Dan 2:34-35 : 34 Thou beheldest it til a stone was cut without hands, which smote the image vpon his feete, that were of yron and clay, and brake them to pieces. 35 Then was the yron, the clay, the brasse, the siluer and the golde broken all together, and became like the chaffe of the sommer floures, and the winde caryed them away, that no place was founde for them: and the stone that smote the image, became a great mountaine, and filled the whole earth.
Dan 2:44 : 44 And in the dayes of these Kings, shall the God of heauen set vp a kingdome, which shall neuer be destroyed: and this kingdome shall not be giuen to another people, but it shall breake, and destroy al these kingdomes, and it shal stand for euer.
Dan 7:13-14 : 13 As I behelde in visions by night, behold, one like the sonne of man came in the cloudes of heauen, and approched vnto the Ancient of dayes, and they brought him before him. 14 And he gaue him dominion, and honour, and a kingdome, that all people, nations and languages should serue him: his dominion is an euerlasting dominion, which shall neuer bee taken away: and his kingdome shall neuer be destroyed.
Gal 4:6 : 6 And because ye are sonnes, God hath sent foorth the Spirit of his Sonne into your heartes, which crieth, Abba, Father.
1 Pet 3:18-19 : 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sinnes, the iust for the vniust, that he might bring vs to God, and was put to death concerning the flesh, but was quickened by the spirit. 19 By the which hee also went, and preached vnto the spirits that are in prison.
Rev 19:10 : 10 And I fell before his feete, to worship him: but he said vnto me, See thou doe it not: I am thy fellowe seruant, and one of thy brethren, which haue the testimonie of Iesus. Worship God: for the testimonie of Iesus is the Spirit of prophecie.
