For bodily exercise profiteth litle: but godlinesse is profitable vnto all things, which hath the promes of the life present, and of that that is to come.

Ps 37:3-4 : 3 Trust thou in the Lord & do good: dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed assuredly. 4 And delite thy selfe in the Lorde, and hee shall giue thee thine hearts desire.

Isa 3:10 : 10 Say ye, Surely it shalbe well with the iust: for they shall eate the fruite of their workes.
Isa 32:17-18 : 17 And the worke of iustice shall bee peace, euen the worke of iustice and quietnesse, and assurance for euer. 18 And my people shall dwell in the tabernacle of peace, and in sure dwellings, and in safe resting places.

Isa 58:3-5 : 3 Wherefore haue we fasted, and thou seest it not? we haue punished our selues, and thou regardest it not. Beholde, in the day of your fast you will seeke your will, and require all your dettes. 4 Beholde, ye fast to strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickednesse: ye shall not fast as ye doe to day, to make your voyce to be heard aboue. 5 Is it such a fast that I haue chosen, that a man should afflict his soule for a day, and to bowe downe his head, as a bull rush, and to lie downe in sackecloth and ashes? wilt thou call this a fasting, or an acceptable day to the Lord?
Isa 65:13-14 : 13 Therefore thus saith the Lorde God, Beholde, my seruants shal eate, and ye shalbe hungrie: beholde, my seruants shal drinke, and ye shal be thirstie: beholde, my seruants shal reioyce, and ye shalbe ashamed. 14 Beholde, my seruants shal sing for ioye of heart, and ye shal crye for sorow of heart, and shal howle for vexation of minde.
Jer 6:20 : 20 To what purpose bringest thou mee incense from Sheba, and sweete calamus from a farre countrey? Your burnt offerings are not pleasant, nor your sacrifices sweete vnto me.

Ps 37:11 : 11 But meeke men shal possesse the earth, and shall haue their delite in the multitude of peace.
Ps 37:16-19 : 16 A small thing vnto the iust man is better, then great riches to the wicked and mightie. 17 For the armes of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord vpholdeth the iust men. 18 The Lorde knoweth the dayes of vpright men, and their inheritance shall bee perpetuall. 19 They shall not be confounded in the perilous time, & in the daies of famine they shall haue ynough.
Ps 37:29 : 29 The righteous men shall inherit the lande, and dwell therein for euer.

Deut 28:1-9 : 1 If thou shalt obey diligently the voyce of the Lord thy God, and obserue and do all his commandements, which I commande thee this day, then the Lorde thy God wil set thee on high aboue all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shal come on thee, and ouertake thee, if thou shalt obey the voyce of the Lord thy God. 3 Blessed shalt thou be in the citie, & blessed also in the fielde. 4 Blessed shalbe the fruite of thy body, and ye fruite of thy ground, & the fruite of thy cattel, the increase of thy kine, & ye flocks of thy sheepe. 5 Blessed shalbe thy basket and thy dough. 6 Blessed shalt thou be, whe thou commest in, and blessed also when thou goest out. 7 The Lorde shall cause thine enemies that rise against thee, to fall before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee leuen wayes. 8 The Lord shal command the blessing to be with thee in thy store houses, and in all that thou settest thine hande to, and wil blesse thee in the land which the Lord thy God giueth thee. 9 The Lorde shal make thee an holy people vnto himself, as he hath sworne vnto thee, if thou shalt keepe the commandements of the Lord thy God, and walke in his wayes. 10 Then all people of the earth shall see that the Name of the Lord is called vpon ouer thee, and they shalbe afrayde of thee. 11 And the Lord shal make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruite of thy body, and in the fruite of thy cattell, and in the fruite of thy grounde, in the land which the Lorde sware vnto thy fathers, to giue thee. 12 The Lorde shall open vnto thee his good treasure, euen the heauen to giue rayne vnto thy kind in due season, and to blesse all the worke of thine handes: and thou shalt lende vnto many nations, but shalt not borow thy selfe. 13 And the Lord shal make thee the head, & not the tayle, & thou shalt be aboue onely, and shalt not bee beneath, if thou obey the commandements of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to keepe and to do them. 14 But thou shalt not decline from any of the wordes, which I command you this day, either to the right hand or to the left, to goe after other gods to serue them.
1 Sam 15:22 : 22 And Samuel saide, Hath the Lord as great pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as when the voyce of the Lord is obeyed? Beholde, to obey is better then sacrifice, and to hearken is better then the fatte of rammes.
Ps 91:10-16 : 10 There shall none euill come vnto thee, neither shall any plague come neere thy tabernacle. 11 For hee shall giue his Angels charge ouer thee to keepe thee in all thy wayes. 12 They shall beare thee in their handes, that thou hurt not thy foote against a stone. 13 Thou shalt walke vpon the lyon and aspe: the yong lyon and the dragon shalt thou treade vnder feete. 14 Because he hath loued me, therefore will I deliuer him: I will exalt him because hee hath knowen my Name. 15 He shall call vpon me, and I wil heare him: I will be with him in trouble: I will deliuer him, and glorifie him. 16 With long life wil I satisfie him, and shew him my saluation.
Ps 112:1-3 : 1 Prayse ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements. 2 His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed. 3 Riches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.
Ps 128:1-6 : 1 A song of degrees. Blessed is euery one that feareth the Lorde and walketh in his wayes. 2 When thou eatest the labours of thine hands, thou shalt be blessed, and it shall be well with thee. 3 Thy wife shalbe as the fruitfull vine on the sides of thine house, and thy children like the oliue plantes round about thy table. 4 Lo, surely thus shall the man be blessed, that feareth the Lord. 5 The Lorde out of Zion shall blesse thee, and thou shalt see the wealth of Ierusalem all the dayes of thy life. 6 Yea, thou shalt see thy childrens children, and peace vpon Israel.
Luke 12:31-32 : 31 But rather seeke ye after the kingdome of God, and all these things shalbe cast vpon you. 32 Feare not, litle flocke: for it is your Fathers pleasure, to giue you the kingdome.
Matt 19:29 : 29 And whosoeuer shal forsake houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my Names sake, he shall receiue an hundreth folde more, and shall inherite euerlasting life.

1 Cor 8:8 : 8 But meate maketh not vs acceptable to God, for neither if we eate, haue we the more: neither if we eate not, haue we the lesse.
Col 2:21-23 : 21 As, Touch not, Taste not, Handle not. 22 Which al perish with the vsing, and are after the commandements and doctrines of men. 23 Which thinges haue in deede a shewe of wisdome, in voluntarie religion and humblenesse of minde, and in not sparing the body, which are thinges of no valewe, sith they perteine to the filling of the flesh.
Titus 3:8 : 8 This is a true saying, and these thinges I will thou shouldest affirme, that they which haue beleeued God, might be carefull to shewe foorth good woorkes. These things are good and profitable vnto men.
Heb 9:9-9 : 9 Which was a figure for that present time, wherein were offred gifts and sacrifices that could not make holy, concerning the conscience, him that did the seruice, 10 Which only stood in meates and drinkes, and diuers washings, and carnal rites, which were inioyned, vntill the time of reformation.
Heb 13:9 : 9 Be not caried about with diuers & strange doctrines: for it is a good thing that the heart be stablished with grace, and not with meates, which haue not profited them that haue bene occupied therein.
2 Pet 1:3-4 : 3 According as his diuine power hath giuen vnto vs all things that perteine vnto life and godlinesse, through the acknowledging of him that hath called vs vnto glory and vertue. 4 Whereby most great and precious promises are giuen vnto vs, that by them ye should be partakers of the diuine nature, in that ye flee the corruption, which is in the worlde through lust.
1 John 2:25 : 25 And this is the promes that he hath promised vs, euen that eternall life.
Rev 3:12 : 12 Him that ouercommeth, will I make a pillar in the Temple of my God, and he shal goe no more out: and I will write vpon him the Name of my God, and the name of the citie of my God, which is the newe Hierusalem, which commeth downe out of heauen from my God, and I will write vpon him my newe Name.
Rom 8:28 : 28 Also we knowe that all thinges worke together for the best vnto them that loue God, euen to them that are called of his purpose.
