Verse 14

And they buryed him in one of his sepulchres, which he had made for him selfe in the citie of Dauid, and layed him in the bed, which they had filled with sweete odours and diuers kindes of spices made by the arte of the apoticarie: and they burnt odours for him with an exceeding great fire.

Exod 30:25-37 : 25 So thou shalt make of it the oyle of holie oyntment, euen a most precious oyntment after the arte of the Apothecarie: this shalbe the oyle of holy oyntment. 26 And thou shalt anoynt the Tabernacle of the Congregation therewith, and the Arke of the Testimonie: 27 Also the Table, & al the instruments thereof, and the Candlesticke, with all the instruments thereof, and the altar of incense: 28 Also the Altar of burnt offring with al his instruments, and the lauer and his foote. 29 So thou shalt sanctifie them, & they shalbe most holy: all that shal touch them, shalbe holy. 30 Thou shalt also anoint Aaron & his sonnes, & shalt consecrate them, that they may minister vnto me in the Priests office. 31 Moreouer thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, This shalbe an holy oynting oyle vnto me, throughout your generations. 32 None shal anoynt, mans flesh therewith, neither shall ye make any composition like vnto it: for it is holy, and shalbe holy vnto you. 33 Whosoeuer shal make the like oyntment, or whosoeuer shal put any of it vpon a stranger, euen he shalbe cut off from his people. 34 And the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Take vnto thee these spices, pure myrrhe and cleare gumme and galbanum, these odours with pure frankincense, of eche like weight: 35 Then thou shalt make of them perfume composed after the arte of the apothecarie, mingled together, pure and holy. 36 And thou shalt beate it to pouder, & shalt put of it before the Arke of the Testimonie in the Tabernacle of ye Cogregatio, where I wil make appointmet with thee: it shalbe vnto you most holy. 37 And ye shal not make vnto you any compositio like this perfume, which thou shalt make: it shalbe vnto thee holy for the Lord.
2 Chr 35:24 : 24 So his seruants tooke him out of that charet, and put him in the seconde charet which he had, and when they had brought him to Ierusalem, he dyed, and was buryed in the sepulchres of his fathers: and all Iudah and Ierusalem mourned for Iosiah.
Eccl 10:1 : 1 Dead flies cause to stinke, & putrifie the ointment of the apoticarie: so doeth a litle follie him that is in estimation for wisedome, and for glorie.
Isa 22:16 : 16 What haste thou to doe here? and whome hast thou here? that thou shouldest here hewe thee out a sepulchre, as he that heweth out his sepulchre in an hie place, or that graueth an habitation for him selfe in a rocke?
