Verse 27

And he said, Seeing the Lord doeth not succour thee, howe shoulde I helpe thee with the barne, or with the wine presse?

Ps 60:11 : 11 Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
Ps 62:8 : 8 Trust in him alway, ye people: powre out your hearts before him, for God is our hope. Selah.
Ps 118:8-9 : 8 It is better to trust in the Lorde, then to haue confidence in man. 9 It is better to trust in the Lorde, then to haue confidence in princes.
Ps 124:1-3 : 1 A song of degrees, or Psalme of Dauid. If the Lord had not bene on our side, (may Israel now say) 2 If the Lord had not bene on our side, when men rose vp against vs, 3 They had then swallowed vs vp quicke, when their wrath was kindled against vs.
Ps 127:1 : 1 A song of degrees, or Psalme of Salomon. Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vaine that build it: except the Lorde keepe the citie, the keeper watcheth in vaine.
Ps 146:3 : 3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the sonne of man, for there is none helpe in him.
Isa 2:2 : 2 It shall be in the last dayes, that the mountaine of the house of the Lorde shalbe prepared in the top of the mountaines, and shall be exalted aboue the hilles, and all nations shall flowe vnto it.
Jer 17:5 : 5 Thus saith the Lord, Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arme, and withdraweth his heart from the Lord.
