As one, that in all his Epistles speaketh of these thinges: among the which some thinges are hard to be vnderstand, which they that are vnlearned and vnstable, wrest, as they do also other Scriptures vnto their owne destruction.

Rom 8:1-9 : 1 Now then there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Iesus, which walke not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the Lawe of the Spirite of life, which is in Christ Iesus, hath freed mee from the lawe of sinne and of death. 3 For (that that was impossible to ye Lawe, in as much as it was weake, because of ye flesh) God sending his owne Sonne, in ye similitude of sinful flesh, & for sinne, condened sinne in the flesh, 4 That that righteousnes of the Law might be fulfilled in vs, which walke not after ye flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh, sauour the things of the flesh: but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the wisedome of the flesh is death: but the wisedome of the Spirit is life and peace, 7 Because the wisedome of the flesh is enimitie against God: for it is not subiect to the Lawe of God, neither in deede can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh, can not please God. 9 Now ye are not in the flesh, but in ye Spirit, because ye spirit of God dwelleth in you: but if any man hath not ye Spirit of Christ, ye same is not his. 10 And if Christ bee in you, the body is dead, because of sinne: but the Spirite is life for righteousnesse sake. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised vp Iesus from the dead, dwell in you, he that raised vp Christ from the dead, shall also quicken your mortall bodies, by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore brethren, wee are detters not to the flesh, to liue after the flesh: 13 For if ye liue after the flesh, ye shall die: but if yee mortifie the deedes of the body by the Spirit, ye shall liue. 14 For as many as are ledde by the Spirit of God, they are the sonnes of God. 15 For ye haue not receiued the Spirit of bodage, to feare againe: but ye haue receiued the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, Father. 16 The same Spirit beareth witnesse with our spirit, that we are the children of God. 17 If we be children, we are also heires, euen the heires of God, and heires annexed with Christ: if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him. 18 For I count that the afflictions of this present time are not worthy of the glory, which shalbe shewed vnto vs. 19 For the feruent desire of the creature waiteth when the sonnes of God shalbe reueiled, 20 Because the creature is subiect to vanitie, not of it owne will, but by reason of him, which hath subdued it vnder hope, 21 Because the creature also shall be deliuered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious libertie of the sonnes of God. 22 For we knowe that euery creature groneth with vs also, and trauaileth in paine together vnto this present. 23 And not onely the creature, but we also which haue the first fruites of the Spirit, euen we doe sigh in our selues, waiting for the adoption, euen the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saued by hope: but hope that is seene, is not hope: for how can a man hope for that which he seeth? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, we doe with patience abide for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we knowe not what to pray as wee ought: but the Spirit it selfe maketh request for vs with sighs, which cannot be expressed. 27 But he that searcheth the heartes, knoweth what is the meaning of the Spirit: for he maketh request for ye Saints, according to the wil of God. 28 Also we knowe that all thinges worke together for the best vnto them that loue God, euen to them that are called of his purpose. 29 For those which hee knewe before, he also predestinate to bee made like to the image of his Sonne, that hee might be the first borne among many brethren. 30 Moreouer whom he predestinate, them also he called, & whom he called, them also he iustified, & whom he iustified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these thinges? If God be on our side, who can be against vs? 32 Who spared not his owne Sonne, but gaue him for vs all to death, how shall he not with him giue vs all things also? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods chosen? it is God that iustifieth, 34 Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs. 35 Who shall separate vs from the loue of Christ? shall tribulation or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakednesse, or perill, or sworde? 36 As it is written, For thy sake are we killed all day long: we are counted as sheepe for the slaughter. 37 Neuerthelesse, in all these thinges we are more then coquerours through him that loued vs. 38 For I am perswaded that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shalbe able to separate vs from the loue of God, which is in Christ Iesus our Lord.
1 Cor 15:1-9 : 1 Moreouer brethren, I declare vnto you the Gospel, which I preached vnto you, which ye haue also receiued, and wherein ye continue, 2 And whereby ye are saued, if ye keepe in memorie, after what maner I preached it vnto you, except ye haue beleeued in vaine. 3 For first of all, I deliuered vnto you that which I receiued, how that Christ died for our sinnes, according to the Scriptures, 4 And that he was buried, and that he arose the third day, according to the Scriptures, 5 And that he was seene of Cephas, then of the twelue. 6 After that, he was seene of mo then fiue hudreth brethren at once: whereof many remaine vnto this present, and some also are asleepe. 7 After that, he was seene of Iames: then of all the Apostles. 8 And last of all he was seene also of me, as of one borne out of due time. 9 For I am the least of the Apostles, which am not meete to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God. 10 But by the grace of God, I am that I am: and his grace which is in me, was not in vaine: but I laboured more aboundantly then they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which is with me. 11 Wherefore, whether it were I, or they, so we preach, and so haue ye beleeued. 12 Now if it be preached, that Christ is risen from the dead, how say some among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 For if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vaine, and your faith is also vaine. 15 And we are found also false witnesses of God: for we haue testified of God, that he hath raised vp Christ: whome he hath not raised vp, if so be the dead be not raised. 16 For if the dead be not raised, then is Christ not raised. 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vaine: ye are yet in your sinnes. 18 And so they which are a sleepe in Christ, are perished. 19 If in this life onely wee haue hope in Christ, we are of all men the most miserable. 20 But nowe is Christ risen from the dead, and was made the first fruites of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, euen so in Christ shall all be made aliue, 23 But euery man in his owne order: the first fruites is Christ, afterward, they that are of Christ, at his coming shall rise againe. 24 Then shalbe the end, when he hath deliuered vp the kingdome to God, euen the Father, when he hath put downe all rule, and all authoritie and power. 25 For he must reigne till hee hath put all his enemies vnder his feete. 26 The last enemie that shalbe destroyed, is death. 27 For he hath put downe all things vnder his feete. (And when he saith that all things are subdued to him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put downe all things vnder him.) 28 And when all things shalbe subdued vnto him, then shall the Sonne also himselfe be subiect vnto him, that did subdue all things vnder him, that God may be all in all. 29 Els what shall they doe which are baptized for dead? If the dead rise not at all, why are they then baptized for dead? 30 Why are wee also in ieopardie euery houre? 31 By your reioycing which I haue in Christ Iesus our Lord, I die dayly. 32 If I haue fought with beastes at Ephesus after ye maner of men, what aduantageth it me, if the dead be not raised vp? let vs eate and drinke: for to morowe we shall die. 33 Be not deceiued: euill speakings corrupt good maners. 34 Awake to liue righteously, and sinne not: for some haue not ye knowledge of God, I speake this to your shame. 35 But some man will say, Howe are the dead raised vp? And with what body come they foorth? 36 O foole, that which thou sowest, is not quickened, except it die. 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shalbe, but bare corne as it falleth, of wheat, or of some other. 38 But God giueth it a body at his pleasure, euen to euery seede his owne body, 39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beastes, and another of fishes, and another of birdes. 40 There are also heauenly bodies, and earthly bodies: but the glorie of the heauenly is one, and the glorie of the earthly is another. 41 There is another glorie of the sunne, and another glorie of the moone, and another glorie of the starres: for one starre differeth from another starre in glorie. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The bodie is sowen in corruption, and is raysed in incorruption. 43 It is sowen in dishonour, and is raysed in glory: it is sowen in weakenesse, and is raysed in power. 44 It is sowen a naturall body, and is raysed a spirituall body: there is a naturall body, and there is a spirituall body. 45 As it is also written, The first man Adam was made a liuing soule: and the last Adam was made a quickening Spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spirituall: but that which is naturall, and afterward that which is spirituall. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthly: the second man is the Lord from heauen. 48 As is the earthly, such are they that are earthly: and as is the heauenly, such are they also that are heauenly. 49 And as we haue borne the image of the earthly, so shall we beare the image of the heauenly. 50 This say I, brethren, that flesh & blood cannot inherite the kingdome of God, neither doeth corruption inherite incorruption. 51 Behold, I shewe you a secret thing, We shall not all sleepe, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinckling of an eye at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall blow, and the dead shalbe raysed vp incorruptible, and we shalbe changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption: and this mortall must put on immortalitie. 54 So when this corruptible hath put on incorruption, and this mortall hath put on immortalitie, then shalbe brought to passe the saying that is written, Death is swallowed vp into victorie. 55 O death where is thy sting? O graue where is thy victorie? 56 The sting of death is sinne: and ye strength of sinne is the Lawe. 57 But thankes be vnto God, which hath giuen vs victorie through our Lord Iesus Christ. 58 Therefore my beloued brethren, be ye stedfast, vnmoueable, aboundant alwayes in the worke of the Lord, forasmuch as ye knowe that your labour is not in vaine in the Lord.

2 Kgs 1:1-9 : 1 Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab: 2 And Ahaziah fell thorow the lattesse windowe in his vpper chamber which was in Samaria: so he was sicke: then he sent messengers, to whome he saide, Goe, and enquire of Baal-zebub the God of Ekron, if I shall recouer of this my disease. 3 Then the Angel of the Lord said to Eliiah the Tishbite, Arise, and goe vp to meete the messengers of the King of Samaria, and say vnto them, Is it not because there is no God in Israel, that ye goe to enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron? 4 Wherefore thus saith the Lorde, Thou shalt not come downe from the bed on which thou art gone vp, but shalt die the death. So Eliiah departed. 5 And the messengers returned vnto him, to whome he said, Why are ye nowe returned? 6 And they answered him, There came a man and met vs, and saide vnto vs, Goe, and returne vnto the King which sent you, and say vnto him, Thus saith the Lorde, Is it not because there is no God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquire of Baal-zebub the God of Ekron? Therefore thou shalt not come downe from the bed, on which thou art gone vp, but shalt die ye death. 7 And he saide vnto them, What maner of man was he which came and met you, and tolde you these wordes? 8 And they said vnto him, He was an hearie man, and girded with a girdle of lether about his loynes. Then sayde he, It is Eliiah the Tishbite. 9 Therefore the King sent vnto him a captaine ouer fiftie with his fiftie men, who went vp vnto him: for beholde, he sate on the toppe of a mountaine, and he saide vnto him, O man of God, the King hath commanded that thou come downe. 10 But Eliiah answered, and saide to the captaine ouer the fiftie, If that I be a man of God, let fire come downe from the heauen, and deuoure thee and thy fiftie. So fire came downe from the heauen and deuoured him and his fiftie. 11 Againe also he sent vnto him another captaine ouer fiftie, with his fiftie. Who spake, and saide vnto him, O man of God, thus the King commandeth, Come downe quickely. 12 But Eliiah answered, and saide vnto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come downe from the heauen, and deuoure thee and thy fiftie. So fire came downe from the heauen, and deuoured him and his fiftie. 13 Yet againe he sent the third captaine ouer fiftie with his fiftie; the thirde captaine ouer fiftie went vp, and came, and fell on his knees before Eliiah, and besought him, and saide vnto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life and the life of these thy fiftie seruants be precious in thy sight. 14 Beholde, there came fire downe from the heauen and deuoured the two former captaines ouer fiftie with their fifties: therefore let my life nowe be precious in thy sight. 15 And the Angel of the Lord said vnto Eliiah, Goe downe with him, be not afraide of his presence. So he arose, and went downe with him vnto the King. 16 And he saide vnto him, Thus saith the Lorde, Because thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron, (was it not because there was no God in Israel to inquire of his worde?) therefore thou shalt not come downe off the bed, on which thou art gone vp, but shalt die the death. 17 So he dyed according to the worde of the Lorde which Eliiah had spoken; Iehoram began to reigne in his steade, in the seconde yeere of Iehoram the sonne of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, because he had no sonne. 18 Concerning the rest of the actes of Ahaziah, that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
