Verse 1

Moreouer Ahithophel said to Absalom, Let me chuse out now twelue thousand men, & I will vp and follow after Dauid this night,

Ps 3:3-5 : 3 But thou Lorde art a buckler for me: my glory, and the lifter vp of mine head. 4 I did call vnto the Lord with my voyce, & he heard me out of his holy mountaine. Selah. 5 I layed me downe and slept, and rose vp againe: for the Lord susteined me.
Ps 4:8 : 8 I will lay mee downe, and also sleepe in peace: for thou, Lord, onely makest me dwell in safetie.
Ps 109:2-4 : 2 For the mouth of the wicked, and the mouth full of deceite are opened vpon me: they haue spoken to me with a lying tongue. 3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause. 4 For my friendship they were mine aduersaries, but I gaue my selfe to praier.
Prov 4:16 : 16 For they can not sleepe, except they haue done euill, and their sleepe departeth except they cause some to fall.
Isa 59:7-8 : 7 Their feete runne to euill, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are wicked thoughts: desolation and destruction is in their paths. 8 The way of peace they knowe not, & there is none equitie in their goings: they haue made them crooked paths: whosoeuer goeth therein, shall not knowe peace.
Prov 1:16 : 16 For their feete runne to euill, & make haste to shed blood.
