Verse 4

The first was as a lyon, & had egles wings: I beheld, til the wings thereof were pluckt of, and it was lifted vp from the earth, and set vpon his feete as a man, and a mans heart was giuen him.

Dan 4:30-33 : 30 (4:27) And the King spake and sayde, Is not this great Babel, that I haue built for the house of the kingdome by the might of my power, and for the honour of my maiestie? 31 (4:28) While the worde was in the Kings mouth, a voyce came downe from heauen, saying, O King Nebuchad-nezzar, to thee be it spoken, Thy kingdome is departed from thee, 32 (4:29) And they shall driue thee from men, and thy dwelling shalbe with the beastes of the fielde: they shall make thee to eate grasse, as the oxen, and seuen times shall passe ouer thee, vntill thou knowest, that the most High beareth rule ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it vnto whomsoeuer he will. 33 (4:30) The very same houre was this thing fulfilled vpon Nebuchad-nezzar, and hee was driuen from men, and did eate grasse as the oxen, and his body was wet with the dewe of heauen, till his heares were growen as egles feathers, & his nailes like birds clawes.
Dan 4:36 : 36 (4:33) At the same time was mine vnderstanding restored vnto me, and I returned to the honour of my kingdome: my glory and my beautie was restored vnto me, and my counsellours and my princes sought vnto me, and I was established in my kingdome, and my glory was augmented toward me.
Dan 5:18-23 : 18 O King, heare thou, The most high God gaue vnto Nebuchad-nezzar thy father a kingdome, and maiestie, and honour and glory. 19 And for the maiestie that he gaue him, all people, nations, and languages trembled, and feared before him: he put to death whom he would: he smote whome he would: whome he would he set vp, and whome he would he put downe. 20 But when his heart was puft vp, and his minde hardened in pride, hee was deposed from his kingly throne, and they tooke his honour from him. 21 And hee was driuen from the sonnes of men, and his heart was made like the beastes, and his dwelling was with the wilde asses: they fed him with grasse like oxen, and his body was wet with the dewe of the heauen, till he knewe, that the most high God bare rule ouer the kingdome of men, and that he appointeth ouer it, whomsoeuer he pleaseth. 22 And thou his sonne, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all these things, 23 But hast lift thy selfe vp against the Lorde of heauen, and they haue brought the vessels of his House before thee, and thou and thy princes, thy wiues and thy concubines haue drunke wine in them, and thou hast praysed the gods of siluer and golde, of brasse, yron, wood and stone, which neither see, neither heare, nor vnderstand: and the God in whose hand thy breath is and all thy wayes, him hast thou not glorified.
Hab 1:6-8 : 6 For lo, I raise vp the Caldeans, that bitter & furious nation, which shall goe vpon the breadth of the lande to possesse the dwelling places, that are not theirs. 7 They are terrible & fearefull: their iudgement & their dignitie shal proceede of theselues. 8 Their horses also are swifter then the leopards, and are more fierce then the wolues in the euening: and their horsemen are many: & their horsemen shall come from farre: they shall flie as the eagle hasting to meate.
Hab 2:5-9 : 5 Yea, in deede the proude man is as hee that transgresseth by wine: therefore shal he not endure, because he hath enlarged his desire as the hell, and is as death, and can not be satisfied, but gathereth vnto him all nations, and heapeth vnto him all people. 6 Shall not all these take vp a parable against him, and a tanting prouerbe against him, and say, Ho, he that increaseth that which is not his? howe long? and hee that ladeth himselfe with thicke clay? 7 Shall they not rise vp suddenly, that shall bite thee? and awake, that shal stirre thee? and thou shalt be their praye? 8 Because thou hast spoyled many nations, all the remnant of the people shal spoyle thee, because of mens blood, and for the wrong done in the land, in the citie, and vnto all that dwell therein. 9 Ho, he that coueteth an euil couetousnesse to his house, that he may set his nest on hie, to escape from the power of euil. 10 Thou hast consulted shame to thine owne house, by destroying many people, and hast sinned against thine owne soule.

Jer 4:13 : 13 Beholde, he shall come vp as the cloudes, and his charets shalbe as a tempest: his horses are lighter then egles. Woe vnto vs, for wee are destroyed.
Jer 25:9-9 : 9 Beholde, I will send and take to mee all the families of the North, saith the Lorde, and Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, & will bring them against this lande, and against the inhabitantes thereof, and against all these nations rounde about, and will destroy them, and make them an astonishment and an hissing, and a continuall desolation. 10 Moreouer I will take from them the voyce of mirth and the voyce of gladnesse, the voyce of the bridegrome and the voyce of the bride, the noise of the milstones, and the light of the candle. 11 And this whole land shalbe desolate, and an astonishment, and these nations shall serue the King of Babel seuentie yeeres. 12 And when the seuentie yeres are accomplished, I will visite the King of Babel and that nation, saith the Lorde, for their iniquities, euen the land of the Caldeans, and will make it a perpetuall desolation, 13 And I will bring vpon that lande all my wordes which I haue pronounced against it, euen all that is written in this booke, which Ieremiah hath prophecied against all nations. 14 For many nations, and great Kings shall euen serue themselues of them: thus will I recopense them according to their deedes, and according to the workes of their owne handes. 15 For thus hath the Lorde God of Israel spoken vnto me, Take the cuppe of wine of this mine indignation at mine hand, and cause all the nations, to whome I sende thee, to drinke it. 16 And they shall drinke, and be moued and be mad, because of the sworde that I will sende among them. 17 Then tooke I the cup at the Lordes hand, and made all people to drinke, vnto whome the Lorde had sent me: 18 Euen Ierusalem, and the cities of Iudah, and the Kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them desolate, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse, as appeareth this day: 19 Pharaoh also, King of Egypt, and his seruants, and his princes, and all his people: 20 And all sortes of people, and all the Kings of the lande of Vz: and all the Kings of the lande of the Philistims, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod: 21 Edom, and Moab, and the Ammonites, 22 And all the Kings of Tyrus, & all the kings of Zidon, and the Kings of the Yles, that are beyonde the Sea, 23 And Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that dwell in the vttermost corners, 24 And all the Kings of Arabia, and all the Kings of Arabia, that dwell in the desert, 25 And all the Kings of Zimri, and all the Kings of Elam, and all the Kings of the Medes, 26 And all the Kings of the North, farre and neere one to another, and all the kingdomes of the worlde, which are vpon the earth, & the king of Sheshach shall drinke after them.
Jer 25:38 : 38 He hath forsaken his couert, as the lyon: for their land is waste, because of the wrath of the oppressor, & because of ye wrath of his indignatio.
Jer 48:40 : 40 For thus saith the Lord, Beholde, he shall flee as an egle, & shal spread his wings ouer Moab.
Jer 50:30-32 : 30 Therefore shall her yong men fall in the streetes, and al her men of warre shalbe destroied in that day, sayeth the Lord. 31 Beholde, I come vnto thee, O proude man, saith the Lord God of hostes: for thy day is come, euen the time that I will visite thee. 32 And the proude shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him vp: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, & it shall deuoure all round about him.
Lam 4:19 : 19 Our persecuters are swifter then the egles of the heauen: they pursued vs vpon the mountaines, and layed waite for vs in the wildernes.
Deut 28:49 : 49 The Lord shall bring a nation vpon thee from farre, euen from the ende of the world, flying swift as an Egle: a nation whose tongue thou shalt not vnderstand:
2 Sam 1:23 : 23 Saul and Ionathan were louely and pleasant in their liues, and in their deaths they were not deuided: they were swifter then egles, they were stronger then lions.
