Verse 17

Blessed art thou, O land, when thy King is the sonne of nobles, and thy princes eate in time, for strength and not for drunkennesse.

Prov 31:4-5 : 4 It is not for Kings, O Lemuel, it is not for Kings to drink wine nor for princes strog drinke, 5 Lest he drinke and forget the decree, and change the iudgement of all the children of affliction.
Eccl 10:6-7 : 6 Follie is set in great excellencie, and the riche set in the lowe place. 7 I haue seene seruants on horses, and princes walking as seruants on the ground.
Isa 5:11 : 11 Wo vnto them, that rise vp early to followe drunkennes, and to them that continue vntill night, till the wine doe inflame them.
Jer 30:21 : 21 And their noble ruler shall be of themselues, and their gouernour shall proceede from the middes of them, and I will cause him to draw neere, and approche vnto me: for who is this that directeth his heart to come vnto mee, saith the Lorde?
Deut 14:26 : 26 And thou shalt bestowe the money for whatsoeuer thine heart desireth: whether it be oxe, or sheepe, or wine, or strong drinke, or whatsoeuer thine heart desireth: and shalt eate it there before the Lord thy God, and reioyce, both thou, and thine household.
Prov 28:2-3 : 2 For the transgression of the land there are many princes thereof: but by a man of vnderstanding and knowledge a realme likewise endureth long. 3 A poore man, if he oppresse the poore, is like a raging raine, that leaueth no foode.
