Verse 1

When as these things were done, the rulers came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the Priestes, and the Leuites are not separated from the people of the lands (as touching their abominations) to wit, of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Iebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

Exod 33:16 : 16 And wherein nowe shal it be knowen, that I and thy people haue found fauour in thy sight? Shall it not be when thou goest with vs? so I, and thy people shall haue preeminence before all the people that are vpon the earth.
Deut 12:30-31 : 30 Beware, lest thou be taken in a snare after them, after that they be destroied before thee, and lest thou aske after their gods, saying, Howe did these nations serue their gods, that I may doe so likewise? 31 Thou shalt not doe so vnto the Lorde thy God: for al abomination, which the Lord hateth, haue they done vnto their gods: for they haue burned both their sonnes and their daughters with fire to their gods.
Deut 18:9 : 9 When thou shalt come into ye land which the Lorde thy God giueth thee, thou shalt not learne to do after ye abominatios of those nations.
Deut 20:17-18 : 17 But shalt vtterly destroy them: to wit, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, & the Perizzites, the Hiuites, and the Iebusites, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, 18 That they teache you not to doe after all their abominations, which they haue done vnto their gods, & so ye should sinne against the Lorde your God.
Deut 23:3-5 : 3 The Ammonites and the Moabites shall not enter into the Congregation of the Lord: euen to their tenth generation shal they not enter into the Congregation of the Lord for euer, 4 Because they met you not with bread & water in the way, when yee came out of Egypt, and because they hyred against thee Balaam the sonne of Beor, of Pethor in Aram-naharaim, to curse thee. 5 Neuerthelesse, the Lorde thy God would not hearken vnto Balaam, but the Lord thy God turned the curse to a blessing vnto thee, because the Lord thy God loued thee.

2 Chr 33:2 : 2 And he did euill in the sight of the Lorde, like the abominations of the heathen, who the Lorde had cast out before the children of Israel.
Ezra 6:21-22 : 21 So the children of Israel which were come againe out of captiuitie, and all such as had separated themselues vnto them, from the filthines of the Heathen of the land, to seeke the Lorde God of Israel, did eate, 22 And they kept ye feast of vnleauened bread seuen dayes with ioy: for the Lord had made them glad, & turned the heart of the King of Asshur vnto them, to incourage them in the worke of the house of God, euen the God of Israel.

Neh 13:1-3 : 1 And on that day did they reade in the booke of Moses, in the audience of the people, and it was found written therein, that the Ammonite, & the Moabite should not enter into the Congregation of God, 2 Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: and our God turned the curse into a blessing. 3 Now when they had heard the Lawe, they separated from Israel all those that were mixed.

Rom 2:17-25 : 17 Beholde, thou art called a Iewe, and restest in the Lawe, and gloriest in God, 18 And knowest his will, and triest the things that dissent from it, in that thou art instructed by the Lawe: 19 And persuadest thy selfe that thou art a guide of the blinde, a light of them which are in darkenesse, 20 An instructer of them which lacke discretion, a teacher of the vnlearned, which hast the forme of knowledge, & of the truth in ye Law. 21 Thou therefore, which teachest another, teachest thou not thy selfe? thou that preachest, A man should not steale, doest thou steale? 22 Thou that saist, A man should not commit adulterie, doest thou commit adulterie? thou that abhorrest idoles, committest thou sacrilege? 23 Thou that gloriest in the Lawe, through breaking the Lawe, dishonourest thou God? 24 For ye Name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. 25 For circucision verely is profitable, if thou do the Lawe: but if thou be a transgressour of the Lawe, thy circumcision is made vncircumcision.
2 Cor 6:14-18 : 14 Be not vnequally yoked with the infidels: for what felowship hath righteousnesse with vnrighteousnesse? and what communion hath light with darkenesse? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath the beleeuer with the infidell? 16 And what agreement hath the Temple of God with idols? for ye are the Temple of the liuing God: as God hath said, I will dwell among them, and walke there: and I will be their God, and they shalbe my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and separate your selues, saith the Lord, and touch none vncleane thing, and I wil receiue you. 18 And I will be a Father vnto you, and ye shalbe my sonnes and daughters, saith the Lord almightie.
