For the first borne of the poore shall be fed, and the needie shall lie downe in safetie: and I will kill thy roote with famine, and it shal slay thy remnant.

Ezek 25:15-17 : 15 Thus sayth the Lord God, Because the Philistims haue executed vengeance, and reuenged themselues with a despitefull heart, to destroy it for the olde hatred, 16 Therefore thus sayth the Lorde God, Behold, I will stretche out mine hand vpon the Philistims, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. 17 And I will execute great vengeance vpon them with rebukes of mine indignation, and they shall knowe that I am the Lorde, when I shall lay my vengeance vpon them.

Amos 1:6-8 : 6 Thus sayth the Lorde, For three transgressions of Azzah, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because they caried away prisoners the whole captiuitie to shut them vp in Edom. 7 Therefore will I sende a fire vpon the walles of Azzah, and it shall deuoure the palaces thereof. 8 And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the scepter from Ashkelon, and turne mine hande to Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistims shall perish, sayth the Lord God.
Zeph 2:4-7 : 4 For Azzah shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon desolate: they shall driue out Ashdod at the noone day, and Ekron shalbe rooted vp. 5 Wo vnto the inhabitants of the sea coast. the nation of the Cherethims, the worde of the Lorde is against you: O Canaan, the lande of the Philistims, I will euen destroye thee without an inhabitant. 6 And the sea coast shal be dwellings and cotages for shepheardes and sheepefoldes. 7 And that coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Iudah, to feede thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shal they lodge toward night: for the Lorde their God shall visite them, and turne away their captiuitie.
Zech 9:5-7 : 5 Ashkelon shall see it, and feare, and Azzah also shalbe very sorowfull, and Ekron: for her countenance shalbe ashamed, & the King shal perish fro Azzah, & Ashkelon shal not be inhabited. 6 And the stranger shal dwell in Ashdod, and I wil cut off the pride of the Philistims. 7 And I wil take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from betweene his teeth: but he that remaineth, euen he shalbe for our God, and he shalbe as a prince in Iudah, but Ekron shalbe as a Iebusite.
