Verse 2

If the Lord had not bene on our side, when men rose vp against vs,

Num 16:2-3 : 2 And they rose vp against Moses, with certaine of the children of Israel, two hundreth and fiftie captaines of the assemblie, famous in the Congregation, and men of renoume, 3 Who gathered themselues together against Moses, and against Aaron, and sayde vnto them, Ye take too much vpon you, seeing all the Congregation is holie, euery one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherfore then lift ye your selues aboue the Congregation of the Lorde?
Ps 3:1 : 1 A Psalme of Dauid, when he fled from his sonne Absalom. Lorde, howe are mine aduersaries increased? howe many rise against me?
Ps 21:1-2 : 1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The King shall reioyce in thy stregth, O Lord: yea how greatly shal he reioyce in thy saluatio! 2 Thou hast giuen him his hearts desire, and hast not denyed him the request of his lips. Selah.
Ps 22:12-13 : 12 Many yong bulles haue compassed me: mightie bulles of Bashan haue closed me about. 13 They gape vpon me with their mouthes, as a ramping and roaring lyon.
Ps 22:16 : 16 For dogges haue compassed me, and the assemblie of the wicked haue inclosed me: they perced mine hands and my feete.
Ps 37:32 : 32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
