Verse 2

Lay hand vpon the shielde and buckler, and stand vp for mine helpe.

Exod 15:3 : 3 The Lord is a man of warre, his Name is Iehouah.
Isa 42:13 : 13 The Lord shal go forth as a gyant: he shal stirre vp his courage like a man of warre: he shall shout and crie, and shall preuaile against his enemies.
Deut 32:41-42 : 41 If I whet my glittering sworde, and mine hand take holde on iudgement, I will execute vengeance on mine enemies, and will rewarde them that hate me. 42 I will make mine arrowes drunke with blood, (& my sword shal eate flesh) for the blood of the slaine, and of the captiues, when I beginne to take vengeance of the enemie.
Ps 7:12-13 : 12 Except he turne, he hath whet his sword: he hath bent his bowe and made it readie. 13 Hee hath also prepared him deadly weapons: hee will ordeine his arrowes for them that persecute me.
Ps 91:4 : 4 Hee will couer thee vnder his winges, and thou shalt be sure vnder his feathers: his trueth shall be thy shielde and buckler.
Isa 13:5 : 5 They come from a farre countrey, from the end of the heauen: euen the Lord with the weapons of his wrath to destroy the whole land.
