2 Cor 1:4-6 : 4 Which comforteth vs in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any affliction by the comfort wherewith we our selues are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abounde in vs, so our consolation aboundeth through Christ. 6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and saluation, which is wrought in the induring of the same sufferings, which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and saluation.
2 Cor 4:8-9 : 8 Wee are afflicted on euery side, yet are we not in distresse: we are in doubt, but yet wee despaire not. 9 We are persecuted, but not forsaken: cast downe, but we perish not. 10 Euery where we beare about in our bodie the dying of the Lorde Iesus, that the life of Iesus might also be made manifest in our bodies. 11 For we which liue, are alwaies deliuered vnto death for Iesus sake, that the life also of Iesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in vs, & life in you.
2 Cor 6:9-9 : 9 As vnknowen, and yet knowen: as dying, and beholde, we liue: as chastened, and yet not killed: 10 As sorowing, and yet always reioycing: as poore, and yet make many riche: as hauing nothing, and yet possessing all things.
2 Tim 4:16-18 : 16 At my first answering no man assisted me, but all forsooke me: I pray God, that it may not be laide to their charge. 17 Notwithstanding the Lord assisted me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching might be fully beleeued, and that al the Gentiles should heare: and I was deliuered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lorde will deliuer me from euery euil worke, and will preserue me vnto his heauenly kingdome: to whome be praise for euer and euer, Amen.
1 Pet 1:6-7 : 6 Wherein yee reioyce, though nowe for a season (if neede require) yee are in heauinesse, through manifolde tentations, 7 That the triall of your faith, being much more precious then golde that perisheth (though it be tried with fire) might bee founde vnto your praise, and honour and glorie at the appearing of Iesus Christ:

1 Sam 17:34-37 : 34 And Dauid answered vnto Saul, Thy seruant kept his fathers sheepe, and there came a lyon, and likewise a beare, and tooke a sheepe out of the flocke, 35 And I went out after him and smote him, and tooke it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by the beard, and smote him, and slue him. 36 So thy seruaunt slue both the lyon, and the beare: therefore this vncircumcised Philistim shall be as one of them, seeing hee hath railed on the hoste of the liuing God. 37 Moreouer Dauid sayd, The Lord that deliuered me out of the pawe of the lyon, & out of the paw of the beare, he wil deliuer me out of the hand of this Philistim. Then Saul sayd vnto Dauid, Go, and the Lord be with thee.
Ps 27:2-3 : 2 When the wicked, euen mine enemies and my foes came vpon mee to eate vp my flesh; they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an hoste pitched against me, mine heart should not be afraide: though warre be raised against me, I will trust in this.
Rom 15:4 : 4 For whatsoeuer things are written aforetime, are writte for our learning, that we through patience, and comfort of the Scriptures might haue hope.
