Lam 2:3-5 : 3 Hee hath cut off in his fierce wrath all the horne of Israel: he hath drawen backe his right hand from before the enemie, & there was kindled in Iaakob like a flame of fire, which deuoured rounde about. 4 He hath bent his bowe like an enemie: his right hand was stretched vp as an aduersarie, and slewe al that was pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he powred out his wrath like fire. 5 The Lord was as an enemie: he hath deuoured Israel, and consumed all his palaces: hee hath destroyed his strong holdes, and hath increased in the daughter of Iudah lamentation and mourning.
Lam 3:42-45 : 42 We haue sinned, and haue rebelled, therefore thou hast not spared. 43 Thou hast couered vs with wrath, and persecuted vs: thou hast slaine and not spared. 44 Thou hast couered thy selfe with a cloude, that our prayer should not passe through. 45 Thou hast made vs as the ofscouring and refuse in the middes of the people.

Ezra 9:6-7 : 6 And said, O my God, I am confounded & ashamed, to lift vp mine eyes vnto thee my God: for our iniquities are increased ouer our head, & our trespasse is growen vp vnto the heauen. 7 From the dayes of our fathers haue we bin in a great trespasse vnto this day, and for our iniquities haue we, our Kings, & our Priestes bene deliuered into the hand of the kings of the lands, vnto the sword, into captiuitie, into a spoyle, and into confusion of face, as appeareth this day.

Ps 79:5-6 : 5 Lord, howe long wilt thou be angrie, for euer? shall thy gelousie burne like fire? 6 Powre out thy wrath vpon the heathen that haue not knowen thee, and vpon the kingdomes that haue not called vpon thy Name.
