Verse 17

If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

1 Sam 9:9 : 9 (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
Ps 94:9 : 9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
Ps 139:13-16 : 13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Prov 20:12 : 12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.
1 Cor 12:21 : 21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
1 Cor 12:29 : 29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
