Verse 17

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Jas 2:26 : 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
1 Tim 1:5 : 5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
Jas 2:14 : 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:19-20 : 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
2 Pet 1:5-9 : 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
1 Cor 13:13 : 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1 Thess 1:3 : 3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
1 Cor 13:3 : 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
