It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

Ps 39:11 : 11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
Ps 76:6-7 : 6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep. 7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
Ps 79:5 : 5 How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
Ps 90:7 : 7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Isa 27:11 : 11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.
Ezek 20:47-48 : 47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein. 48 And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.
