Den som har knuste testikler eller har hatt sitt mannlige lem avkuttet, skal ikke komme inn i Herrens forsamling.

He that is wound in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

En uekte sønn skal ikke komme inn i Herrens forsamling; til og med i sin tiende generasjon skal han ikke komme inn i Herrens forsamling.

A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

En ammonitt eller moabitt skal ikke komme inn i Herrens forsamling; til og med i sin tiende generasjon skal de ikke komme inn i Herrens forsamling for alltid.

Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

Når hæren drar ut mot dine fiender, skal du holde deg borte fra alt ondt.

When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

Om det er blant dere en mann som er uren på grunn av en hendelse om natten, skal han gå utenfor leiren, han skal ikke komme inn i leiren.

If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

For Herren din Gud vandrer midt i din leir for å redde deg og overgi dine fiender til deg; derfor skal din leir være hellig, så han ikke ser noe urent hos deg og vender seg bort fra deg.

For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to liver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

Du skal ikke gi tilbake til hans herre den tjener som har flyktet fra sin herre til deg.

Thou shalt not liver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:

Han skal bo hos deg, til og med blant dere, på det stedet som han velger i en av dine byer, der det føles best for ham; du skal ikke undertrykke ham.

He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

Du skal ikke bringe en hores lønn eller en hunds pris til Herrens, din Guds hus for noen løfte, for begge disse er en styggedom for Herren din Gud.

Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

Du skal ikke låne til din bror med høy rente; verken rente på penger, rente på matvarer eller rente på noe som lånes ut med høy rente.

Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

Til en fremmed kan du låne med høy rente, men ikke til din bror, for at Herren din Gud skal velsigne deg i alt du gjør i det landet du drar for å erobre.

Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Når du sverger et løfte til Herren din Gud, skal du ikke somle med å oppfylle det; for Herren din Gud vil kreve det av deg, og det vil være en synd for deg å ikke gjøre det.

When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

Men hvis du velger å ikke avgi et løfte, vil det ikke være en synd for deg.

But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

Det du har sagt med dine lepper skal du holde og utføre; til og med et frivillig offer, som du har lovet Herren din Gud, det som du har sagt med din munn.

That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

Når du kommer inn i din nabos vingård, kan du spise druer så mye du vil for å tilfredsstille deg selv, men du skal ikke legge noe i din beholder.

When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

Når du kommer inn i din nabos kornåker, kan du plukke aks med hånden; men du skal ikke svinge en sigd over din nabos stående korn.

When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.
