Loddet for Efraims barn strakk seg fra Jordan ved Jeriko, til vannet ved Jeriko i øst, til ødemarken som går opp fra Jeriko oppover mot fjellet Betel.

And the lot of the children of eph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho throughout mount Beth-el,

Det gikk ut fra Betel til Lus og passerte langs grensen til Arkitt-området til Atarot.

And goeth out from Beth-el to Luz, and passeth along unto the borders of Archi to Ataroth,

Og det gikk ned vestover til kysten av Jafletitt og videre til kysten av Nedre Bet-Horon og til Gezer; utløpene av det var ved havet.

And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Beth-horon the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea.

Slik tok Efraims barn, Manasse og Efraim, sitt arvland.

So the children of eph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

Og grensen for Efraims barn, ifølge deres familier, gikk fra Atarot-Addar i øst til Øvre Bet-Horon.

And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;

Grensen gikk ut mot havet til Mikmetat i nord; og grensen gikk østover til Taanat-Silo og passerte forbi den i øst til Janhoa.

And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah;

Den gikk ned fra Janhoa til Atarot og til Naarat, kom til Jeriko, og utløp ved Jordan.

And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at Jordan.

Grensen gikk ut fra Tappua vestover til elven Kana; utløpene av det var ved havet. Dette er arven for stammen til Efraims barn etter deres familier.

The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.

And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

Men de drev ikke ut kanaanittene som bodde i Gezer; så kanaanittene bor blant Efraimittene til denne dag, og tjener plikttro til dem.

And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute.
