Og Herren talte til Moses og sa,

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Tal til Israels barn og si til dem: Når enten en mann eller en kvinne avlegger et løfte om et nazireerløfte, for å innvie seg til Herren,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD:

skal han avstå fra vin og sterk drikk. Han skal ikke drikke noen eddik laget av vin eller sterk drikk, heller ikke noen saft fra druer, og han skal ikke spise druer, verken friske eller tørkede.

He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.

I hele tiden han er adskilt, skal han ikke spise noe som kommer fra vintreet, fra kjerner til skall.

All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.

I alle de dager han er adskilt ved sitt nazireerløfte skal ingen barberkniv komme på hans hode. Inntil dagene som han har viet seg til Herren er fullført, skal han være hellig. Da skal han la håret vokse fritt.

All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no rasor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

I alle dagene han har adskilt seg til Herren, skal han ikke nærme seg noe dødt legeme.

All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.

Han skal ikke gjøre seg selv uren, selv ikke for sin far, mor, bror eller søster, når de dør, fordi Guds innvielse er over hans hode.

He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.

Alle dagene han er adskilt, skal han være hellig for Herren.

All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD.

Hvis noen dør brått i hans nærvær, og hodet på hans innvielse blir gjort urent, da skal han barbere hodet sitt på dagen for sin renselse; på den syvende dagen skal han barbere det.

And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it.

På den åttende dagen skal han bringe to turtelduer eller to unge duer til presten, ved inngangen til møteteltet.

And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

Presten skal ofre den ene som syndoffer og den andre som brennoffer, og gjøre soning for ham for den synden han har pådratt seg ved det døde legemet, og han skal vie sitt hode samme dag.

And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an atonement for him, for that he sinned by the dead, and shall hallow his head that same day.

Han skal fornye sitt nazirittløfte for Herren og bringe et årsgammelt lamm som skyldoffer. Men de tidligere dagene vil være tapt, fordi hans innvielse ble besudlet.

And he shall consecrate unto the LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a trespass offering: but the days that were before shall be lost, because his separation was defiled.

Dette er loven om naziritten, når hans tidsperiode for innvielse er fullført: Han skal bringes til inngangen ved møteteltet.

And this is the law of the Nazarite, when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

Han skal frembære sitt offer til Herren, et årsgammelt lam uten lyte som brennoffer, og en årsgammel søye uten lyte som syndoffer, og en vær uten lyte som fellesskapsoffer,

And he shall offer his offering unto the LORD, one he lamb of the first year without blemish for a burnt offering, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings,

og en kurv med usyret brød, kaker av fint mel blandet med olje og flate kaker uten surdeig smurt med olje, og tilhørende matoffer og drikkoffer.

And a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings.

Presten skal bringe dette frem for Herren og ofre hans syndoffer og brennoffer.

And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering:

Han skal ofre væren som et fredsoffer til Herren sammen med kurven med usyret brød. Presten skal også ofre hans matoffer og drikkoffer.

And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat offering, and his drink offering.

Nazireeren skal barbere sitt innvielseshode ved inngangen til møteteltet, og ta håret fra sitt innvielseshode og legge det på ilden under fredsofferofferet.

And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offerings.

Presten skal ta den kokte bogen fra væren, og en umyket brødkake ut av kurven, og en umyket flatbrødkake, og legge dem i hendene på naziritten, etter at håret fra hans innvielse er barbert av.

And the priest shall take the sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the Nazarite, after the hair of his separation is shaven:

Presten skal svinge dem som et svingoffer fremfor Herren. Dette er hellig for presten, i tillegg til svingbrystet og løfteregelbenet. Etter dette kan naziritten drikke vin.

And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.

Dette er loven for den naziritt som har avlagt løfte, og for hans offer til Herren for hans innvielse, i tillegg til det han ellers måtte ha råd til. Han skal gjøre fullt ut i samsvar med sitt løfte om innvielse.

This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.

Og Herren talte til Moses og sa,

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Tal til Aron og hans sønner og si: Slik skal dere velsigne Israels barn og si til dem,

Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,

Herren velsigne deg og bevare deg.

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

Herren la sitt ansikt lyse over deg og være deg nådig.

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

Herren løfte sitt ansikt mot deg og gi deg fred.

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

De skal sette mitt navn på Israels barn, og jeg vil velsigne dem.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
