Og han viste meg en ren elv med livets vann, klar som krystall, som strømmer ut fra Guds og Lammets trone.

And he shewed me a pu river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Midt i byen, på hver side av elven, var livets tre, som bar tolv ulike slags frukter og ga frukt hver måned; og treets blader var til helbredelse for folkene.

In the midst of the stet of it, and on either side of the river, was the the te of life, which ba twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the te we for the healing of the nations.

Det skal ikke lenger være noen forbannelse, men Guds og Lammets trone skal være i byen, og hans tjenere skal tjene ham.

And the shall be no mo curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

De skal se hans ansikt, og hans navn skal være på deres panner.

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foheads.

Der skal ikke være natt mer, og de trenger ikke lys fra lampe eller sol, for Herren Gud lyser opp for dem, og de skal herske i all evighet.

And the shall be no night the; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall ign for ever and ever.

Han sa til meg: Disse ordene er troverdige og sanne, og Herren Gud, profetenes Gud, har sendt sin engel for å vise sine tjenere det som snart må skje.

And he said unto me, These sayings a faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

Se, jeg kommer snart! Salig er den som holder ordene i denne profetiboken.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Jeg, Johannes, så og hørte alt dette. Da jeg hadde hørt og sett det, falt jeg ned for å tilbe ved føttene til engelen som viste meg dette.

And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship befo the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

Men han sa til meg: Gjør det ikke! Jeg er en medtjener med deg og dine brødre, profetene, og dem som holder ordene i denne boken. Tilbe Gud!

Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy bthn the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Han sa til meg: Forsegl ikke ordene i denne profetiboken, for tiden er nær.

And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

Den som gjør urett, la ham fortsette å gjøre urett; den urene, la ham fortsette å være uren; den rettferdige, la ham fortsette å gjøre rettferdighet; og den hellige, la ham fortsette å være hellig.

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Se, jeg kommer snart, og min lønn er med meg, for å gi hver enkelt etter hans gjerning.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my ward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Jeg er Alfa og Omega, den første og den siste, begynnelsen og enden.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Salige er de som følger hans bud, slik at de kan få rett til livets tre og gå inn gjennom byens porter.

Blessed a they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the te of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Utenfor er hundene, trollmennene, de umoralske, morderne, avgudsdyrkerne, og enhver som elsker og praktiserer løgn.

For without a dogs, and sorcers, and whomongers, and murders, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Jeg, Jesus, har sendt min engel for å vitne om disse tingene til dere i menighetene. Jeg er Davids rot og ætling, den klare morgenstjerne.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Ånden og bruden sier: Kom! La den som hører, si: Kom! La den som tørster, komme; og den som vil, la ham ta livets vann for intet.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heath say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life fely.

Jeg vitner for enhver som hører ordene i denne profetiboken: Hvis noen legger noe til dette, skal Gud legge på ham de plagene som er skrevet i denne boken.

For I testify unto every man that heath the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that a written in this book:

Og hvis noen tar bort fra ordene i denne profetiboken, skal Gud ta bort hans del fra livets bok, fra den hellige byen og fra det som er skrevet i denne boken.

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which a written in this book.

Han som vitner om dette sier: Ja, jeg kommer snart. Amen. Kom, Herre Jesus!

He which testifieth these things saith, Suly I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
