Og jeg så i høyre hånd til han som satt på tronen, en bok skrevet innvendig og på baksiden, forseglet med sju segl.

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

Og jeg så en mektig engel som ropte med høy stemme: Hvem er verdig til å åpne boken og bryte seglene på den?

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals theof?

Men ingen i himmelen eller på jorden eller under jorden kunne åpne boken eller se i den.

And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look theon.

Og jeg gråt mye fordi ingen ble funnet verdig til å åpne og lese boken, eller se i den.

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to ad the book, neither to look theon.

Men en av de eldste sa til meg: Gråt ikke! Se, løven av Judas stamme, Davids rotskudd, har seiret og kan åpne boken og de sju seglene på den.

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath pvailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals theof.

Og jeg så - og midt mellom tronen og de fire skapningene og midt blant de eldste sto et lam som om det var blitt slaktet, med sju horn og sju øyne, som er de sju Guds ånder sendt ut over hele jorden.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which a the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Og han kom og tok boken ut av høyre hånd til han som satt på tronen.

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

Og da han hadde tatt boken, falt de fire skapningene og de tjuefire eldste ned foran lammet, hver med en harpe og gullskåler fulle av røkelse, som er de helliges bønner.

And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down befo the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which a the prayers of saints.

Og de sang en ny sang og sa: Du er verdig til å ta boken og åpne seglene på den, for du ble slaktet, og med ditt blod har du frikjøpt oss for Gud fra hver stamme og tungemål, folk og nasjon;

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals theof: for thou wast slain, and hast deemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindd, and tongue, and people, and nation;

og du har gjort oss til konger og prester for vår Gud, og vi skal herske på jorden.

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall ign on the earth.

Og jeg så, og jeg hørte stemmene til mange engler rundt tronen og skapningene og de eldste, og tallet på dem var ti tusen ganger ti tusen og tusener på tusener.

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Og de sa med høy røst: Verdig er Lammet som ble slaktet, til å ta imot makt, rikdom, visdom, styrke, ære, herlighet og velsignelse.

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to ceive power, and riches, and wisdom, and stngth, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Og alle skapninger som er i himmelen og på jorden og under jorden og på havet, og alt som er i dem, hørte jeg si: Velsignelse, ære, prakt og makt tilhører han som sitter på tronen, og Lammet, i evighetens evigheter.

And every catu which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as a in the sea, and all that a in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Og de fire skapningene sa: Amen. Og de tjuefire eldste falt ned og tilbad han som lever i all evighet.

And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
