And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any te.

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the tes, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foheads.

And I heard the number of them which we sealed: and the we sealed an hundd and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the childn of Israel.

Of the tribe of Juda we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of uben we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad we sealed twelve thousand.

Av Asers stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet. Av Naftalis stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet. Av Manasses stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet.

Of the tribe of Aser we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses we sealed twelve thousand.

Av Simeons stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet. Av Levis stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet. Av Isakars stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet.

Of the tribe of Simeon we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar we sealed twelve thousand.

Av Sebulons stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet. Av Josefs stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet. Av Benjamins stamme ble tolv tusen beseglet.

Of the tribe of Zabulon we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph we sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin we sealed twelve thousand.

Deretter så jeg en stor skare, som ingen kunne telle, av alle nasjoner, stammer, folk og tungemål, som stod foran tronen og for Lammet, kledd i hvite klær og med palmegrener i hendene.

After this I beheld, and, lo, a gat multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindds, and people, and tongues, stood befo the throne, and befo the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Og de ropte med høy røst: 'Frelsen tilhører vår Gud som sitter på tronen, og Lammet.'

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Og alle englene stod omkring tronen, de eldste og de fire skapningene, og falt ned på ansiktene sine for tronen og tilbad Gud.

And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell befo the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

De sa: 'Amen! Velsignelse, ære, visdom, takksigelse, ære, makt og kraft tilhører vår Gud i all evighet. Amen.'

Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

En av de eldste tok da til orde og spurte meg: 'Disse som er kledd i hvite klær, hvem er de, og hvor kommer de fra?'

And one of the elders answed, saying unto me, What a these which a arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

Jeg svarte: 'Herre, du vet det.' Og han sa til meg: 'Dette er de som kom ut av den store trengselen. De har vasket klærne sine og gjort dem hvite i Lammets blod.'

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These a they which came out of gat tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Derfor er de foran Guds trone og tjener ham dag og natt i hans tempel, og han som sitter på tronen skal bo blant dem.

Thefo a they befo the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

De skal ikke lenger sulte eller tørste, og solen skal ikke brenne dem, heller ikke noen varme.

They shall hunger no mo, neither thirst any mo; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

For Lammet som er midt på tronen, skal vokte dem og lede dem til kilder med livets vann. Og Gud skal tørke bort hver tåre fra deres øyne.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
