Verse 14

And the elders{H7868}{(H8750)} of the Jews{H3062} builded{H1124}{(H8750)}, and they prospered{H6744}{(H8683)} through the prophesying{H5017} of Haggai{H2292} the prophet{H5029} and Zechariah{H2148} the son{H1247} of Iddo{H5714}. And they builded{H1124}{(H8754)}, and finished{H3635}{(H8806)} it, according{H4481} to the commandment{H2941} of the God{H426} of Israel{H3479}, and according to the commandment{H2942} of Cyrus{H3567}, and Darius{H1868}, and Artaxerxes{H783} king{H4430} of Persia{H6540}.

Ezra 5:13 : 13 But{H1297} in the first{H2298} year{H8140} of Cyrus{H3567} the king{H4430} of Babylon{H895} the same king{H4430} Cyrus{H3567} made{H7761}{(H8754)} a decree{H2942} to build{H1124}{(H8749)} this{H1836} house{H1005} of God{H426}.

Ezra 3:8 : 8 Now in the second{H8145} year{H8141} of their coming{H935}{(H8800)} unto the house{H1004} of God{H430} at Jerusalem{H3389}, in the second{H8145} month{H2320}, began{H2490}{(H8689)} Zerubbabel{H2216} the son{H1121} of Shealtiel{H7597}, and Jeshua{H3442} the son{H1121} of Jozadak{H3136}, and the remnant{H7605} of their brethren{H251} the priests{H3548} and the Levites{H3881}, and all they that were come out{H935}{(H8802)} of the captivity{H7628} unto Jerusalem{H3389}; and appointed{H5975}{(H8686)} the Levites{H3881}, from twenty{H6242} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605}, to set forward{H5329}{(H8763)} the work{H4399} of the house{H1004} of the LORD{H3068}.

And the priests{H3548} answered{H6030}{(H8799)} and said{H559}{(H8799)}, No. 13 Then said{H559}{(H8799)} Haggai{H2292}, If one that is unclean{H2931} by a dead body{H5315} touch{H5060}{(H8799)} any of these, shall it be unclean{H2930}{(H8799)}? And the priests{H3548} answered{H6030}{(H8799)} and said{H559}{(H8799)}, It shall be unclean{H2930}{(H8799)}. 14 Then answered{H6030}{(H8799)} Haggai{H2292}, and said{H559}{(H8799)}, So is this people{H5971}, and so is this nation{H1471} before{H6440} me, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}; and so is every work{H4639} of their hands{H3027}; and that which they offer{H7126}{(H8686)} there is unclean{H2931}. 15 And now, I pray you, consider{H7760}{(H8798)}{H3824} from this day{H3117} and upward{H4605}, from before{H2962} a stone{H68} was laid{H7760}{(H8800)} upon a stone{H68} in the temple{H1964} of the LORD{H3068}:
Zech 2:1-4 : 1 I lifted up{H5375}{(H8799)} mine eyes{H5869} again, and looked{H7200}{(H8799)}, and behold a man{H376} with a measuring{H4060} line{H2256} in his hand{H3027}. 2 Then said{H559}{(H8799)} I, Whither goest{H1980}{(H8802)} thou? Zech 4:9 : 9 The hands{H3027} of Zerubbabel{H2216} have laid the foundation{H3245}{(H8765)} of this house{H1004}; his hands{H3027} shall also finish{H1214}{(H8762)} it; and thou shalt know{H3045}{(H8804)} that the LORD{H3068} of hosts{H6635} hath sent{H7971}{(H8804)} me unto you.

So they walked to and fro{H1980}{(H8691)} through the earth{H776}. 8 Then cried{H2199}{(H8686)} he upon{H853} me, and spake{H1696}{(H8762)} unto me, saying{H559}{(H8800)}, Behold{H7200}{(H8798)}, these that go{H3318}{(H8802)} toward the north{H6828} country{H776} have quieted{H5117}{(H8689)} my spirit{H7307} in the north{H6828} country{H776}. 9 And the word{H1697} of the LORD{H3068} came unto me, saying{H559}{(H8800)}, 10 Take{H3947}{(H8800)} of them of the captivity{H1473}, even of Heldai{H2469}, of Tobijah{H2900}, and of Jedaiah{H3048}, which are come{H935}{(H8804)} from Babylon{H894}, and come{H935}{(H8804)} thou the same day{H3117}, and go{H935}{(H8804)} into the house{H1004} of Josiah{H2977} the son{H1121} of Zephaniah{H6846}; 11 Then take{H3947}{(H8804)} silver{H3701} and gold{H2091}, and make{H6213}{(H8804)} crowns{H5850}, and set{H7760}{(H8804)} them upon the head{H7218} of Joshua{H3091} the son{H1121} of Josedech{H3087}, the high{H1419} priest{H3548}; 12 And speak{H559}{(H8804)} unto him, saying{H559}{(H8800)}, Thus speaketh{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068} of hosts{H6635}, saying{H559}{(H8800)}, Behold the man{H376} whose name{H8034} is The BRANCH{H6780}; and he shall grow up{H6779}{(H8799)} out of his place, and he shall build{H1129}{(H8804)} the temple{H1964} of the LORD{H3068}: 13 Even he shall build{H1129}{(H8799)} the temple{H1964} of the LORD{H3068}; and he shall bear{H5375}{(H8799)} the glory{H1935}, and shall sit{H3427}{(H8804)} and rule{H4910}{(H8804)} upon his throne{H3678}; and he shall be a priest{H3548} upon his throne{H3678}: and the counsel{H6098} of peace{H7965} shall be between them both{H8147}. 14 And the crowns{H5850} shall be to Helem{H2494}, and to Tobijah{H2900}, and to Jedaiah{H3048}, and to Hen{H2581} the son{H1121} of Zephaniah{H6846}, for a memorial{H2146} in the temple{H1964} of the LORD{H3068}. 15 And they that are far off{H7350} shall come{H935}{(H8799)} and build{H1129}{(H8804)} in the temple{H1964} of the LORD{H3068}, and ye shall know{H3045}{(H8804)} that the LORD{H3068} of hosts{H6635} hath sent{H7971}{(H8804)} me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently{H8085}{(H8800)} obey{H8085}{(H8799)} the voice{H6963} of the LORD{H3068} your God{H430}.
