• Amos 3:8-9 : 8 The lion{H738} hath roared{H7580}{(H8804)}, who will not{H3808} fear{H3372}{(H8799)}? the Lord{H136} GOD{H3069} hath spoken{H1696}{(H8765)}, who can but prophesy{H5012}{(H8735)}? 9 Publish{H8085}{(H8685)} in the palaces{H759} at Ashdod{H795}, and in the palaces{H759} in the land{H776} of Egypt{H4714}, and say{H559}{(H8798)}, Assemble{H622}{(H8734)} yourselves upon the mountains{H2022} of Samaria{H8111}, and behold{H7200}{(H8798)} the great{H7227} tumults{H4103} in the midst{H7130} thereof, and the oppressed{H6217} in the midst{H8432} thereof. 10 For they know{H3045}{(H8804)} not to do{H6213}{(H8800)} right{H5229}, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}, who store{H686}{(H8802)} up violence{H2555} and robbery{H7701} in their palaces{H759}. 11 Therefore thus saith{H559}{(H8804)} the Lord{H136} GOD{H3069}; An adversary{H6862} there shall be even round about{H5439} the land{H776}; and he shall bring down{H3381}{(H8689)} thy strength{H5797} from thee, and thy palaces{H759} shall be spoiled{H962}{(H8738)}. 12 Thus saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068}; As the shepherd{H7462}{(H8802)} taketh out{H5337}{(H8686)} of the mouth{H6310} of the lion{H738} two{H8147} legs{H3767}, or a piece{H915} of an ear{H241}; so shall the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} be taken out{H5337}{(H8735)} that dwell{H3427}{(H8802)} in Samaria{H8111} in the corner{H6285} of a bed{H4296}, and in Damascus{H1833} in a couch{H6210}. 13 Hear{H8085}{(H8798)} ye, and testify{H5749}{(H8685)} in the house{H1004} of Jacob{H3290}, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the Lord{H136} GOD{H3069}, the God{H430} of hosts{H6635}, 14 That in the day{H3117} that I shall visit{H6485}{(H8800)} the transgressions{H6588} of Israel{H3478} upon him I will also visit{H6485}{(H8804)} the altars{H4196} of Bethel{H1008}: and the horns{H7161} of the altar{H4196} shall be cut off{H1438}{(H8738)}, and fall{H5307}{(H8804)} to the ground{H776}. 15 And I will smite{H5221}{(H8689)} the winter{H2779} house{H1004} with the summer{H7019} house{H1004}; and the houses{H1004} of ivory{H8127} shall perish{H6}{(H8804)}, and the great{H7227} houses{H1004} shall have an end{H5486}{(H8804)}, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}.
• Amos 4:6-9 : 6 And I also have given{H5414}{(H8804)} you cleanness{H5356} of teeth{H8127} in all your cities{H5892}, and want{H2640} of bread{H3899} in all your places{H4725}: yet have ye not returned{H7725}{(H8804)} unto me, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}. 7 And also I have withholden{H4513}{(H8804)} the rain{H1653} from you, when there were yet three{H7969} months{H2320} to the harvest{H7105}: and I caused it to rain{H4305}{(H8689)} upon one{H259} city{H5892}, and caused it not to rain{H4305}{(H8686)} upon another{H259} city{H5892}: one{H259} piece{H2513} was rained{H4305}{(H8735)} upon, and the piece{H2513} whereupon it rained{H4305}{(H8686)} not withered{H3001}{(H8799)}. 8 So two{H8147} or three{H7969} cities{H5892} wandered{H5128}{(H8804)} unto one{H259} city{H5892}, to drink{H8354}{(H8800)} water{H4325}; but they were not satisfied{H7646}{(H8799)}: yet have ye not returned{H7725}{(H8804)} unto me, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}. 9 I have smitten{H5221}{(H8689)} you with blasting{H7711} and mildew{H3420}: when your gardens{H1593} and your vineyards{H3754} and your fig trees{H8384} and your olive trees{H2132} increased{H7235}{(H8687)}, the palmerworm{H1501} devoured{H398}{(H8799)} them: yet have ye not returned{H7725}{(H8804)} unto me, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}. 10 I have sent{H7971}{(H8765)} among you the pestilence{H1698} after the manner{H1870} of Egypt{H4714}: your young men{H970} have I slain{H2026}{(H8804)} with the sword{H2719}, and have taken away{H7628} your horses{H5483}; and I have made the stink{H889} of your camps{H4264} to come up{H5927}{(H8686)} unto your nostrils{H639}: yet have ye not returned{H7725}{(H8804)} unto me, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}. 11 I have overthrown{H2015}{(H8804)} some of you, as God{H430} overthrew{H4114} Sodom{H5467} and Gomorrah{H6017}, and ye were as a firebrand{H181} plucked out{H5337}{(H8716)} of the burning{H8316}: yet have ye not returned{H7725}{(H8804)} unto me, saith{H5002}{(H8803)} the LORD{H3068}. 12 Therefore thus will I do{H6213}{(H8799)} unto thee, O Israel{H3478}: and because{H6118} I will do{H6213}{(H8799)} this unto thee, prepare{H3559}{(H8734)} to meet{H7125}{(H8800)} thy God{H430}, O Israel{H3478}.
• Amos 6:1 : 1 Woe{H1945} to them that are at ease{H7600} in Zion{H6726}, and trust{H982}{(H8802)} in the mountain{H2022} of Samaria{H8111}, which are named{H5344}{(H8803)} chief{H7225} of the nations{H1471}, to whom the house{H1004} of Israel{H3478} came{H935}{(H8804)}!
• Jonah 3:4-9 : 4 And Jonah{H3124} began{H2490}{(H8686)} to enter{H935}{(H8800)} into the city{H5892} a{H259} day's{H3117} journey{H4109}, and he cried{H7121}{(H8799)}, and said{H559}{(H8799)}, Yet forty{H705} days{H3117}, and Nineveh{H5210} shall be overthrown{H2015}{(H8737)}. 5 So the people{H582} of Nineveh{H5210} believed{H539}{(H8686)} God{H430}, and proclaimed{H7121}{(H8799)} a fast{H6685}, and put{H3847}{(H8799)} on sackcloth{H8242}, from the greatest{H1419} of them even to the least{H6996} of them. 6 For word{H1697} came{H5060}{(H8799)} unto the king{H4428} of Nineveh{H5210}, and he arose{H6965}{(H8799)} from his throne{H3678}, and he laid{H5674}{(H8686)} his robe{H155} from him, and covered{H3680}{(H8762)} him with sackcloth{H8242}, and sat{H3427}{(H8799)} in ashes{H665}. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed{H2199}{(H8686)} and published{H559}{(H8799)} through Nineveh{H5210} by the decree{H2940} of the king{H4428} and his nobles{H1419}, saying{H559}{(H8800)}, Let neither man{H120} nor beast{H929}, herd{H1241} nor flock{H6629}, taste{H2938}{(H8799)} any thing{H3972}: let them not feed{H7462}{(H8799)}, nor drink{H8354}{(H8799)} water{H4325}: 8 But let man{H120} and beast{H929} be covered{H3680}{(H8691)} with sackcloth{H8242}, and cry{H7121}{(H8799)} mightily{H2394} unto God{H430}: yea, let them turn{H7725}{(H8799)} every one{H376} from his evil{H7451} way{H1870}, and from the violence{H2555} that is in their hands{H3709}. 9 Who can tell{H3045}{(H8802)} if God{H430} will turn{H7725}{(H8799)} and repent{H5162}{(H8738)}, and turn away{H7725}{(H8804)} from his fierce{H2740} anger{H639}, that we perish{H6}{(H8799)} not? 10 And God{H430} saw{H7200}{(H8799)} their works{H4639}, that they turned{H7725}{(H8804)} from their evil{H7451} way{H1870}; and God{H430} repented{H5162}{(H8735)} of the evil{H7451}, that he had said{H1696}{(H8765)} that he would do{H6213}{(H8800)} unto them; and he did{H6213}{(H8804)} it not.
• Mic 3:12 : 12 Therefore shall Zion{H6726} for your sake{H1558} be plowed{H2790}{(H8735)} as a field{H7704}, and Jerusalem{H3389} shall become heaps{H5856}, and the mountain{H2022} of the house{H1004} as the high places{H1116} of the forest{H3293}.
