After these events and their establishment, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered into Judah, and camped against the fortified cities, thinking to conquer them for himself.

Does not Hezekiah persuade you to give yourselves up to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
