And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, Gird up your loins, and take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead:

Then take the flask of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus says the LORD, I have anointed you king over Israel. Then open the door and flee, and do not linger.

So the young man, the prophet, went to Ramoth-gilead.

And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

And the watchman reported, saying, He reached them and has not returned: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously.

And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

And Joram said, Prepare. And his chariot was prepared. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the plot of land of Naboth the Jezreelite.

And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, Treachery, O Ahaziah!

And the body of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the plot of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
