For indeed, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah the support and the staff, the whole support of bread and the whole support of water,

For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen, because their speech and their actions are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of His glory.

The LORD stands up to plead and stands to judge the people.

The rings, and nose jewels,

The festal apparel, the mantles, the cloaks, and the purses,

The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

The mirrors, the fine linen, the turbans, and the veils.

And it shall come to pass, that instead of a sweet smell there shall be stench; instead of a sash, a rope; instead of well-styled hair, baldness; instead of a rich robe, a binding of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.

Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in battle.
