Verse 1
Moreover, Job continued his discourse and said,

As God lives, who has taken away my justice, and the Almighty, who has troubled my soul;
As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;

As long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

God forbid that I should justify you: until I die I will not renounce my integrity.

I will teach you by the hand of God; what is with the Almighty I will not conceal.
