Verse 1
Like snow in summer, and rain in harvest, so honor is not fitting for a fool.

He who passes by and meddles in strife not belonging to him is like one who takes a dog by the ears.

Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; so where there is no gossip, strife ceases.
