Verse 6

David said,“Whoever attacks the Jebusites first will become commanding general!” So Joab son of Zeruiah attacked first and became commander.

2 Sam 8:16 : 16 David’s Cabinet Joab son of Zeruiah was general in command of the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was secretary;
2 Sam 20:23 : 23 Now Joab was the general in command of all the army of Israel. Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Kerethites and the Perethites.
Josh 15:16-17 : 16 Caleb said,“To the man who attacks and captures Kiriath Sepher I will give my daughter Achsah as a wife.” 17 When Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb’s brother, captured it, Caleb gave Achsah his daughter to him as a wife.
1 Sam 17:25 : 25 The men of Israel said,“Have you seen this man who is coming up? He does so to defy Israel. But the king will make the man who can strike him down very wealthy! He will give him his daughter in marriage, and he will make his father’s house exempt from tax obligations in Israel.”
2 Sam 2:18 : 18 The three sons of Zeruiah were there– Joab, Abishai, and Asahel.(Now Asahel was as quick on his feet as one of the gazelles in the field.)
2 Sam 3:27 : 27 When Abner returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside at the gate as if to speak privately with him. Joab then stabbed him in the abdomen and killed him, avenging the shed blood of his brother Asahel.
