Verse 7

They transported the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab; Uzzah and Ahio were guiding the cart,

Num 4:15 : 15 “When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is ready to journey, then the Kohathites will come to carry them; but they must not touch any holy thing, or they will die. These are the responsibilities of the Kohathites with the tent of meeting.
1 Sam 6:7 : 7 So now go and make a new cart. Get two cows that have calves and that have never had a yoke placed on them. Harness the cows to the cart and take their calves from them back to their stalls.
1 Sam 7:1-2 : 1 Then the people of Kiriath Jearim came and took the ark of the LORD; they brought it to the house of Abinadab located on the hill. They consecrated Eleazar his son to guard the ark of the LORD. 2 Further Conflict with the Philistines It was quite a long time– some twenty years in all– that the ark stayed at Kiriath Jearim. All the people of Israel longed for the LORD.
2 Sam 6:3 : 3 They loaded the ark of God on a new cart and carried it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart.
1 Chr 15:2 : 2 Then David said,“Only the Levites may carry the ark of God, for the LORD chose them to carry the ark of the LORD and to serve before him perpetually.”
1 Chr 15:13 : 13 The first time you did not carry it; that is why the LORD God attacked us, because we did not ask him about the proper way to carry it.”
