David defeated King Hadadezer of Zobah as far as Hamath, when he went to extend his authority to the Euphrates River.

2 Sam 8:3 : 3 David defeated King Hadadezer son of Rehob of Zobah when he came to reestablish his authority over the Euphrates River.
