and set up in it a place for the ark containing the covenant the LORD made with our ancestors when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.”

Deut 31:26 : 26 “Take this scroll of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God. It will remain there as a witness against you,
1 Kgs 8:9 : 9 There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets Moses had placed there in Horeb. It was there that the LORD made a covenant with the Israelites after he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
1 Kgs 8:5-6 : 5 Now King Solomon and all the Israelites who had assembled with him went on ahead of the ark and sacrificed more sheep and cattle than could be counted or numbered. 6 The priests brought the ark of the LORD’s covenant to its assigned place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, in the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim.
Exod 34:28 : 28 So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread, and he did not drink water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Deut 9:9 : 9 When I went up the mountain to receive the stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant that the LORD made with you, I remained there forty days and nights, eating and drinking nothing.
Deut 9:11 : 11 Now at the end of the forty days and nights the LORD presented me with the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant.
