Verse 18

In that day you will cry out because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD won’t answer you in that day.”

Isa 1:15 : 15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I look the other way; when you offer your many prayers, I do not listen, because your hands are covered with blood.
Mic 3:4 : 4 Someday these sinful leaders will cry to the LORD for help, but he will not answer them. He will hide his face from them at that time, because they have done such wicked deeds.”
Isa 8:21 : 21 They will pass through the land destitute and starving. Their hunger will make them angry, and they will curse their king and their God as they look upward.
Prov 1:25-28 : 25 and you neglected all my advice, and did not comply with my rebuke, 26 so I myself will laugh when disaster strikes you, I will mock when what you dread comes, 27 when what you dread comes like a whirlwind, and disaster strikes you like a devastating storm, when distressing trouble comes on you. 28 Then they will call to me, but I will not answer; they will diligently seek me, but they will not find me.
Prov 21:13 : 13 The one who shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and will not be answered.
Job 27:9 : 9 Does God listen to his cry when distress overtakes him?

Luke 13:25 : 25 Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, then you will stand outside and start to knock on the door and beg him,‘Lord, let us in!’ But he will answer you,‘I don’t know where you come from.’
