Verse 25

The people of the land executed all who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah king in his place.

Gen 9:5-6 : 5 For your lifeblood I will surely exact punishment, from every living creature I will exact punishment. From each person I will exact punishment for the life of the individual since the man was his relative. 6 “Whoever sheds human blood, by other humans must his blood be shed; for in God’s image God has made humankind.”
Num 35:31 : 31 Moreover, you must not accept a ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death; he must surely be put to death.
Num 35:33 : 33 “You must not pollute the land where you live, for blood defiles the land, and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed there, except by the blood of the person who shed it.
2 Chr 26:1 : 1 Uzziah’s Reign All the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in his father Amaziah’s place.
2 Chr 34:1 : 1 Josiah Institutes Religious Reforms Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned for thirty-one years in Jerusalem.
2 Chr 36:1 : 1 Jehoahaz’s Reign The people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and made him king in his father’s place in Jerusalem.
