Verse 2

For in this earthly house we groan, because we desire to put on our heavenly dwelling,

Rom 8:23 : 23 Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.
1 Cor 15:53-54 : 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54 Now when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will happen,“Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
Rom 7:24 : 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
2 Cor 5:3-4 : 3 if indeed, after we have put on our heavenly house, we will not be found naked. 4 For we groan while we are in this tent, since we are weighed down, because we do not want to be unclothed, but clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
Phil 1:23 : 23 I feel torn between the two, because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far,
1 Pet 1:6-7 : 6 This brings you great joy, although you may have to suffer for a short time in various trials. 7 Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold– gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away– and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
