Verse 9
Shaphan the scribe went to the king and reported,“Your servants melted down the silver in the temple and handed it over to the construction foremen assigned to the LORD’s temple.”

- Jer 39:14 : 14 sent and had Jeremiah brought from the courtyard of the guardhouse. They turned him over to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam and the grandson of Shaphan, to take him home with him. But Jeremiah stayed among the people.
- Jer 40:11 : 11 Moreover, all the Judeans who were in Moab, Ammon, Edom, and all the other countries heard what had happened. They heard that the king of Babylon had allowed some people to stay in Judah and that he had appointed Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan, to govern them.
