Verse 20

This is exactly what happened to him. The people trampled him to death in the city gate.

Num 20:12 : 12 The Lord’s Judgment Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron,“Because you did not trust me enough to show me as holy before the Israelites, therefore you will not bring this community into the land I have given them.”
2 Chr 20:20 : 20 Early the next morning they marched out to the wilderness of Tekoa. When they were ready to march, Jehoshaphat stood up and said:“Listen to me, you people of Judah and residents of Jerusalem! Trust in the LORD your God and you will be safe! Trust in the message of his prophets and you will win.”
Job 20:23 : 23 “While he is filling his belly, God sends his burning anger against him, and rains down his blows upon him.
Isa 7:9 : 9 Ephraim’s leader is Samaria, and Samaria’s leader is the son of Remaliah. If your faith does not remain firm, then you will not remain secure.”
Jer 17:5-6 : 5 Individuals Are Challenged to Put Their Trust in the Lord The LORD says,“I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, who depend on mere flesh and blood for their strength, and whose hearts have turned away from the LORD. 6 They will be like a shrub in the arid rift valley. They will not experience good things even when they happen. It will be as though they were growing in the stony wastes in the wilderness, in a salt land where no one can live.
Heb 3:18-19 : 18 And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient? 19 So we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.
