Verse 32

They took Asahel’s body and buried him in his father’s tomb at Bethlehem. Joab and his men then traveled all that night and reached Hebron by dawn.

1 Chr 2:13-16 : 13 Jesse was the father of Eliab, his firstborn; Abinadab was born second, Shimea third, 14 Nethanel fourth, Raddai fifth, 15 Ozem sixth, David seventh. 16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. Zeruiah’s three sons were Abshai, Joab, and Asahel.
2 Chr 16:14 : 14 He was buried in the tomb he had carved out in the City of David. They laid him to rest on a platform covered with spices and assorted mixtures of ointments. They made a huge bonfire to honor him.
2 Chr 21:1 : 1 Jehoshaphat passed away and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. His son Jehoram replaced him as king.
Prov 22:29 : 29 You have seen a person skilled in his work– he will take his position before kings; he will not take his position before obscure people.
